Big interview again - giving thanks, Teacher. 😇UP Hearing a man blow the trumpet on sound-tapes I listened to back in the day (shout-out to Jayman & Andrew and the Who Cork the Dance crew for sharing that Jamaican culture to the world - that was Leroy Hornsman on plenty of those tapes) is what motivated me to start doing that, too, over here in Europe. I'll tell you why, too: most times performing with up-and-coming Reggae-bands over here, the PA/sound isn't that great in the low frequencies... Same in rehearsal-rooms. Same in studios. Feeling the bass in a soundsystem-session is a next-level (meta)physical experience to any musician, highly encouraged, if you know it, you feel it, and if you feel it, you know it better. The vibes you get when playing on a soundsystem are the best you can get, as an instrumentalist, when you get that great bass, mic well mixed with a nice reverb, and a crowd that's into all of the above, that's the bomb; most of my fellow hornsmen have never made that experience, and plenty of my other instrumentalist friends, too. The best musical work I've done was live pon sound, I'm fully persuaded. Could even get into more specifics, as in soundsystem-session outside or inside, venue full-up, half-full or not really, time of the day, which crowd is present, FX (reverb/delay/space-echo) or not, all these things play a role. It's an unspoken science, only documented in sound. Big UP all who give a hornsman a bly to blow a ting - strength to strength! 🤝 And hey, personal testimony I'm sure all of the hornsman-fraternity would agree with: if you blow your horn in a dance, you'll get at least one lady with vibes coming up and telling you that's the best thing ever, every single time, it's really greatful like that, you fully ignore she also just called my sax a trumpet - that big shiny metal? Unresistible ;) 🎺🎷🎵🎶 Anyways, stream of thoughts, vibes! More music, keep hits coming! 🔈🔉🔊 12UP

Its a blessing Leroy can't forget the first time i saw the horns man it was like something fresh entered into the Dancehall space. He use to come out a East on Mello Construction Sound when we had certain dance and when Mello use to have Sunday stage shows on Lysson Beach and Prospect Beach. Big up yuself Horns man.
