What I want is for leroy in tekken 8 is to get a complete overhaul to make his gameplay far more interesting and complex. Even if i costs him his spot on the tier list, hell even if it would make him low tier. He is the coolest original tekken character since tekken 5, some might even argue since tekken 4 and it's a shame people get ridiculed just for playing a cool character.

Or...Namco can make him hard to play, by changing the inputs on certain moves to not be brain dead easy, and also nerf him in the process to make him "hard to do well with, and hard to play", so at least he won't be busted. I'm pretty sure Leroy is gonna get the Bob, Lars, and Miguel treatment going into Tekken 8, where they're heavily nerfed from the previous game they were good in, but with Namco's recent track record of DLC...idk if that will be possible 😬.

I agree that it's recovery is non existent so you can spam it like hell, but at least you have to somehow time it and + frames differs for each move. Leroy on the other hand is brain-dead to use, just B2 and spam 2 for the parry to work. Also it works on weapons, elbows etc. iirc (don't remember if Jin's can do that tho)

@@SzyszuPL yeah, Jin can parry elbows and weapons. I'd be cool with there being more recovery frames on a missed parry to use it as more of a hard read/call out rather than a panic move. Edit: I see really mixed views on it though, a lot of people think it's busted, and I can understand that, when someone can use it really well against a very predictable opponent they're at a tremendous disadvantage. I just think that it requires you to adapt.

I don't understand how Leroy parry is balanced. For example: Xioyu parry cannot be reversed but she gets nothing guaranteed from it - it is just her turn for offense. Asuka parry gets her medium damage, but it can be reversed. Why does Leroy gets the best of both worlds - not reversible and medium damage? Does it perhaps have a huge recovery frames and you can launch him any way you want?
