Honestly this is the most underrated skit they have ever done.

Love how Peele just casually crushes every note like he is more than a comedian 🤣.

They're both geniuses. One of the best comedy duos of the past century.

She is so great a singer I had no idea. I used to watch her in Mad TV and she was a incredible comic actress.

Key doing a parody of the original Jean Valjean actor Colm Wilkinson’s singing is total aces. Easily one of their best skits ever out of a catalogue of phenomenal performances

My favorite is the French restaurant bit where the guy takes his girlfriend to a fancy French restaurant to impress her, but doesn't speak any French at all. They both just fucking nail any role so well. Both of them are so multitalented too. They can sing, dance, write. Jordan is now an accomplished director and producer with a nigh perfect track record of films, these two are real gems of the human species.

The main female singer’s name is Nicole Parker. Pretty sure she did MadTV. Voice of an angel.

This is so much better than the movie where Russell Crowe howled and uttered off-key

no his singing is amazing. if you take what hes saying it sounds like a robot reading lines the way his character was just following orders but in the end he realized and ya know, kills himself.
@johnhannibal51082 жыл бұрын
@@walterhartwellwhite7324 That does not do justice to the character. To reduce him to 'following orders' is to to turn him into a cardboard cutout villain. Crowe had no flow or depth, compared to Hathaway and Jackman, who are trained musical actors. He is inflexible but he is more of a commander, he gives orders. Take a look at his reaction when he first suspects Monsieur Madelein is Jean Valjean. He investigates but, in a nearby city, someone is found who local authorities are very sure is Valjean. He saw himself as abusing his power and APOLOGIZED to Valjean and tendered his resignation. Valjean, as mayor, knew that Javert, for his letter of the law view, was, in fact a damn fine policeman and insisted he stay until Valjean could find a replacement. He reluctantly agreed. This is not a 'following orders' character. This is a man with an amazing, if somewhat rigid, set of ethics. Always remember, Valjean was locked away for stealing then his sentence increased every escape attempt. When he was freed Javert said I will see you soon, your kind does not change. And he was right, until the bishop let him take the silver. No one had cared for him before, no one gave him a chance. Finally someone saw him as a man, not just a thief. Valjean woke and was reborn. Javert had the same moment in a mirror when Valjean let him live. An act of mercy, a recognition of his duty, his scruples... was not enough. A thief was a thief. But Valjean had changed that meant a thief could change. His old and new paradign could not co-exist. Valjean's moment had him grow; poor Javert could only remove himself from the equation
