I'm proud that this video is still circulating on KZbin, but I'm also a little embarrassed. I had stage fright back then, and I was especially nervous during the 10th anniversary performance, so I couldn't fully immerse myself in this lovely, pitiful woman named Fantine. However, after this concert, I realized how to meet the role under extreme tension, and this work and the character of Fantine remain dear to my memory. I want to hug Fantine even in my dreams. At that time, I often dreamed of Fantine, Cosette, and I having a picnic together, and it still hurts me. I hope there will be a world where people are no longer pitiful.

I LITERALLY was just thinking how immersed you were in that character and how believable Fantine is. Even down to the tones and inflections of your voice. Your performance hurt my heart and I almost turned it off for a bit to get a break. I know we are hardest on ourselves but I just had to say what I was truthfully thinking and feeling as I watched. I was surprised to see your comment just now and had to give a viewer's perspective!

In my freshman year of high school, I took an honors English class. I soon realized that it would be impossible to do that and theater at the same time. This show helped me get through that terrible semester. This show is a gift from God.

I'm at the Organ hidden, I was given a small pedal part just to add some gravitass to certain sections. It was the most amazing experience. I had a little screen showing me the conductor. I did give it a little more than instructed at the end. But It wasn't my performance, it was the stunning cast. Honoured to be a very small part of it.

When Lea sings one can hear a pin drop in that huge hall, she’s spellbinding. The death duet with Ball ‘ voice is sweet, matching Lea’s tone, very touching & real despite it’s in concert format. The little boy watching has a real reaction to her death & the song. Michael, ABC leader was handsome.Wish concerts like this were still performed instead of blasting canned music speakers.

개인적 기준으로 25주년의 장발장과 앙졸라를 맡은 알피와 라민을 정말 사랑하지만 25주년은 뭔가 레미제라블 그 자체를 연기하는 느낌이네요 감정연기가 진짜... 25주년 그랑테르맡은 헤이들러도 정말 좋아했는데 10주년 그랑테르 솔로파트는 진짜.. 확연히 감정전달 자체가 확연히 다르네요 판틴과 자베르는 10주년이 찐임니더 자베르 센느강 투신 장면에서 감정연기는 정말.. 넋놓고 봤어요 자베르 그 자체

진짜 10주년 자베르는 자베르 그 자체.. 장발장과 다른 분들도 주역이 뛰어나고 캐릭터 그 자체지만 자베르는 정말 등장부터 표정 목소리까지 소름이 돋는다. 장발장을 연기하신 분 또한 장발장 주인공 역을 왜 맡으신건지 단번에 이해가 갈 정도로 목소리의 울림과 깊이, 연기가 정말 차원이 다르다. 예술 그 자체인 무대 몇년 전부터 이 무대 영상을 보고 몇 번이나 감동하고 울었는지..😢 정말로 뛰어나고 멋진 무대다.

콤 윌킨슨이라는 분으로 오페라의 유령 초대 유령으로도 유명하신 분입니다. 휴 잭맨이 장발장으로 나온 레미제라블에서 주교 역할로 깜짝 출연하셨을 때 굉장히 반가웠어요 ㅋ 테르나디에 여관 남자 주인으로 나오신 분은 마차에 깔렸다가 시장이 된 장발장에게 구조된 포슐르방으로 영화에 나오셨습니다

I was an elementary school child when a friend's mom introduced me to this performance. I watched it on VHS so many times it's embarrassing. This performance is so perfect. I've heard this version before, on CD. One of my friends from 9th grade was obsessed with it. I remember thinking it was good then. I saw the movie nearly 20 years later, and fell in love with it, because I'd forgotten this production. This really is the perfect casting. It's as if Hugo's world has come to life. 자베르란 사람이 정말로 실재했다면 딱 이 자베르가 아니었을까 싶을 정도로 완벽하다. 진짜 미친 연기력, 표현력이다. 생김새나 목소리까지 어떻게 저렇게 자베르 역에 잘 어울릴까...? 다른 자베르들은 아무리 잘 해도 자베르를 '연기'한다는 느낌을 못 넘는데, Philip Quast는 자베르 그 자체가 된 느낌. 특히 Fantine's arrest & Javert's suicide 에서의 자베르는 역대 모든 자베르 중 독보적 원 탑이다.

The confrontation between Javert and Valjean is top notch. Valjean starts off pleading for mercy and trying to make a deal, when rebuffed he becomes indignant accusing Javert of having no idea what life is like. He then ends the confrontation in defiance telling Javert he will do what he must regardless of the law. Javert begins his part with a maliciously pleasurable tone, thrilled that he caught and will put Valjean, a criminal back into prison and upholding the law. The tone shifts to one of righteous indignation to hear Valjean criticize him and calling him ignorant to the realities of the world (hence his phrase "i was born inside a jail"). Javert ends his bit with a promise to Valjean that he will find him no matter what. Just top notch singing and acting from both of them

Amazing performance! I’ve seen Les Mis several times (twice with the original London cast), but never with this enormous chorus. It’s hard to describe my first time hearing Wilkinson sing “Bring Him Home,” I hadn’t realized I’d been holding my breath through the final note until I gasped for air at the end. All this talent, all these voices in one theater must have been a religious experience for those with the good fortune to attend. With or without the chorus it never fails to fill my soul. What a gift.

어려서 엄마랑 같이 영화로 보러 갔을 때는 마지막에 다같이 노래부르는 장면에서 큰 감동을 느껴서 눈물을 흘렸는데 커서 다시 보니까 어째선지 고된 길을 걸어온 장발장의 마지막 죽는 장면에서 울게 되었다..

oh i would have died seeing this play live. I'm ecstatic! It's giving chills from start to finish. Knowing the voice and caliber of Filipino voice we could have been a power house of Theatrical Arts. Urghh! Entertainment produced purely by human talent, excellence and intellect. How glorious is human excellence! I can't imagine the imposter syndrome each of the cast had to endure to produce such immaculate, delicate, and unforgettable performance. Wow this kind of art gives everyone a chance to shine. No competition at all. They complement each other. No competition. Each of them deserves praise!

Hard to compare but the 10th anniversary and the 25th anniversary Les Miserables are both just so good. I prefer the 10th anniversary because of a young Lea Salonga as Eponine and Colm Wilkinson as Valjean. Lea Salonga comes back as Fantine in the 25th which was fantastic but her Eponine remains superb.
