But fr Laurent is a damn wizard in his approach to music, the timing in where he switches between flows looks random at first but when you watch it again and especially in slowmotion( like .75x speed) it’s the closest thing ive ever seen to music coming to life. Gives me chills. Almost like there’s a logic to his “chaos”

Fuck yeah, finally found someone who is able to notice Lau's style. I am very big fan of Les Twins, ok? But dont get me wrong, a lot of people like more Larry's style than Lau's, some of them even said Larry is better than Lau. Ok let me repeat one more time, i am a fucking big fan of them ok. And i am not acting like Larry is not good. What am i trying to say here is, they are both legends. And yet they are different in a lot of ways, so there cant be comparism between them. Larry is good at his style, Laurent is good at his style.

@metalspalace5 жыл бұрын
I peeped that
@mimzyLassiter5 жыл бұрын
Yep, noticed that and please, that's the whole point of all of this. Either as a judge you're committed to the task at hand or you're not. If that judge knew he had "issues" with Les Twins then the honorable, right and fair thing to do would have been to recuse himself from the judging panel. Les Twins have lost battles before so say what one will, that was NOT the reason Larry snapped. They take their talents, which is phenomenal, as dancers very seriously. They've earned everything they received. This wasn't one of the bigger battles they've been in...but suppose it had been and there was an unfair judge. I don't think anyone of these competitors would want that. Apparently Les Twins have had to endure this same disrespect from this same judge and his personal vendetta against Les Twins. Not fair, not cool of this judge to blatantly ignore their performances. I too don't condone violence and wish Larry hadn't felt he had to go there but it brought this judge and his bias practices to light. Like the rest of us, Larry is human and at the moment he slapped that judge he'd reached his breaking point. The judge was there for a very specific reason which was to observe, meaning WATCH the performances of EACH of the competitors and as part of a collective judging panel pick an ultimate winner. Who won or loss is not the issue. The unfair actions of a bias judge is what this is truly about. This guy should be banned from future judging panels bc if he could do this to Les Twins, whose to say he won't do this in the future when he has "issues" with other dancers. Just saying.

I think why Metal said Larry has to pick up on Laurent there, not because Lau is better than Larry, I think he is trying to tell Larry to pick up the unpredictable element from Laurent. Honest words, when Larry is dancing, if you are not a fan, you would definitely be surprised by him. If you are, you can kinda guess where Larry is going, but you still get impressed by him whatsoever. And for Laurent, if you are not a fan, sometimes you would find that he is not that impressed like Larry, because most of the time his style is less precise and clear compare to Larry. But dancing is not just about precise and clear. Larry always intentionally show you his musicallity.He dances to every little details by using some very obvious moves to portray them. Laurent has the musicallity too, but he doesnt show it like how Larry does. He dances in a more profound and unpredictable way. He always feel the music first, like 7:47. He wasnt dancing at that point, he was feeling it , then he went in like a beast, because the music was like a beast too.Laurent follows the emotion of music. And yes, he always come out with some very shocking moves, like 8:12. I saw that move before, when he was dancing to Nao- In the morning. But i really wasnt expecting that. So in a way, Lau impressed more because that drop was sick and unpredictable at a same time. Not saying Lau is better than Larry, they are both legends, and incomparable. Because their styles are different, you cant compare two people when they are different. There is no comparism. So for the "pick up", is if Larry picked up the unpredictable element from Lau, he would definitely top over Lau because he is precise, clear, and unpredictable too. But now Larry isnt there yet, so they are equal, just the way they choose to dance is different. Oh one more thing, I personally think Laurent is an expert on how to build up for punchline. He does a great job to build up, and when it reaches the punchline, he comes out with an unpredictable move.

hello it's my first reaction and i like what you say but i have a question, do you think the level of kyoka was a little less strong than normal? For me, maika was better than larry but laurent was very good in the battle and far more better than kyoka. Kyoka did a lot of sad routine(33 seconds in first round) and was out of synchro few times. Perso, cause of greenteck and the unfair judgment rely on, i think the kyoka's level was impacted and larry level too. She can dance much better...I'm not a fan boy but this years 2019, there's a lot of weird things in judgment in twins battle. I want to see a other battle between this hip hop duo with a fair jury so we wil can have a good level for larry and kyoka.

Hey thanks for commenting! I've seen Rushball a few times but I don't know her style that well. I personally feel that Larry’s technicality is the reason he’s the best. He not only hits every beat but he shows that his balance and leg strength is the best. He flows with the tempo of the song, has amazing patience and precision, and he makes it look easy. People might feel he hasn’t greatly improved since 2011 mainly because he has a lot of the same signature moves and we’ve gotten use to them but he’s learned a lot of other moves as well. His musicality tops the charts and with every song they played he perfectly hit every beat and flowed lyrically. He doesn’t have to do all the power moves everyone else does. Rush ball did amazing they have greatly improved since their last battle. I think les twins took this one tho.
@metalspalace5 жыл бұрын
I got you. Him hitting every beat and having leg strength doesn't win DANCE battles like they use to back in the day. It's no doubt they are amazing more specifically Larry is amazing. I'm only talking about the rounds in this video not what he does everywhere else. Everybody knows he can hit every beat but that sometimes limits flow and mobility being so technical if the entire round or majority consist of that and you don't break out to incorporate some type of groove. I still respect what you saying and appreciate the comment

"Larry needs to pick it up" I hate when people say that lol. Laurent dances with more passion and does moves for the crowd, Larry dances with more technicality and does the little things only dancers really notice. You can have your preference but to talk as if one needs to do better is ridiculous lmao, they're literally the best of the best. It's like telling Kobe his jumpshot is looking rusty.
@metalspalace5 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying. If Kobe was continuously missing his free-throws I'm one thousand percent sure he'd put in overtime to correct that. I only say he needs to raise the bar within his vocabulary cause they enter battles which then makes it to where you critique his rounds

As a les twins I can see where he's coming from. I love Larry's dancing but I've seen better from him than this. He gets more creative and flows more during freestyles in other settings, but just seems to do the same set of hard moves during battles. Like he gets stuck in a battle mindset and it limits him a little. Laurent doesnt seem to have that problem, he's always wild and a bit less predictable.
