I've been arguing with people about Larry for about 4 years now about him and folks finally starting to see it. The dude ain't what he used to be. 2011-2015 were his best years and he haven't been the same since. It's like he just dances in a box and does the same isolations on one leg now. Sure he can still fuck up his own workshop because it's all the songs he's danced to a million times already. Just go to his old battles in 2012-2014 it's like a breath of fresh air😤 Laurent on the other hand have been constantly reinventing himself for years and trying different stuff. He's always been about feeling the music so his rounds be hit and miss like you said.

@@metalspalace He definitely did which was great to see. It was alot of heavy hitters in that comp so I think that brought out the best in him. He was very expressive and wasn't just standing there isolating.

you said it best man larry has hit a ceiling, laurent has been carrying him thru every battle it seems like. I think its because larry relies so much on beatkilling and the lack of natural groove. laurent goes straight off of feeling sometimes its look crazy all over the place but you can tell hes dancing for himself.

Did y’all know L&L didn’t plan on battling through to the finals (on Laurent’s IG). Kuty and Rubix (Jucticiers Crew) DID go to Japan to compete in WDC Finals, & the guys went to support them & show them Japan... the battles we just a bonus. Did you see the smaller battles (in the red club)? I don’t remember the name of the song but the Big Boi remix was CRAZY unique & they was just having fun & blazin’ past dancers. 🎤✌🏼🎧

Just 2 different ways of expression is all it is.
@Luxcfer5 жыл бұрын
Its not, Larry's style is not about expressing. His style is to show the every little details and beats for the music he dances to. Watch Larry dances to My Mind by Yebba, he is not there, he doesnt know how to express emotions, especially sad emotion. I am their fan, big fan, I like Larry too, but when I was watching him dancing to My Mind, it was just cringe for me, because basically he is lack of ability to do expression. Laurent is a complete opposite right now, after years of reinvention he made for himself. To summarize everything in one sentence, they are both equally strong, Larry always expose every little details and beats of the music for the audience to notice, while Laurent always express and dance for himself.
@zerbstablackthunder35143 жыл бұрын
@@Luxcfer Oh, in my perspective, I have to disagree that Larry cannot express sad emotions. I find his freestyle on MY MIND amazing. Maybe because of his style that you weren't able to appreciate it but it is the opposite for me. It's rare to incorporate such style in a slow tempo song. He's technical and I can feel the emotions. Ayt, I'm not convincing you to think otherwise. Just Saying.

I just found your channel today, & like your energy and thoughts. I am trying to see your view regarding Larry vs “the ceiling,” 😉. I agree, Larry does more melodic freestyles in workshops... when he’s not under pressure to win. Check out: “Elite Rollz” freestyle-Baltimore, “My Mind” at Picadily Circus-Paris, & “Getcha Roll On” freestyle in LA). I look forward to your thoughts. 😎🕺🏽
@metalspalace5 жыл бұрын
AYO! Appreciate the comment. Larry hit a ceiling because for the past SEVERAL YEARS, like many already know, he's performed the same sets and go to moves. The rounds I saw were nothing different than what I've seen him do video after video. Often times his style restricts freedom of movements because of how tense he has to be in order to remain as sharp as his moves are and that can limit mobility. Of course he's improved on certain things but his constant repetitiveness leads me to believe he's reached the limit of his dance until he changes it up
@Luxcfer5 жыл бұрын
But I kinda dont agree on the song My mind he danced to, for me , his style doesnt match with that song. I could tell he is trying to dance with emotions, but I'll just say it with honesty, the current him still cannot hold that kind of music. If Laurent is there he would definitely kill the song. I am not comparing them, they are both good in their own style. But Laurent has the mobility to dance to more genres of music, he knows what style should be used to fit it in every music. I am a big fucking fan of Les Twins, i love both of them, but i am just spitting my own opinions here, dont hate me.lol.
