Welcome to my WayHaught-thoughts(just wrote down while watching. Sorry; it's long) I know you haven't watched it yet, and no pressure(it took me a year from I was told to watch it until i actually watched it), so you don't know the full emotional journey these two has been on. When it comes to their story: As Jeremey so gracefully put the WayHaught-story in season 3: "She walked into a roadhouse bar, you whiffed off your shirt, and that was that. Like a beautiful fairytale-p*rno" pretty much sums up their beginning. After that it's building a relationship, cheating, secrets, almost deaths, rebuilding, more almost deaths, kinda-proposal, separation, reunion-s*x, rebuild, more secrets and finally re-proposal. Btw: Yeah, space-bun hook-up was a part of this series, the only thing that happened was Waverly kissing Rosita in a hot-tub and them both regretting it seconds later. Rosita even tried to help Waverly talk to Nicole so they could get passed it. Also: Nicole has in this series: Survived a massacre that leaves no survivors at age 6, been kidnapped and needed to be resurrected twice by the road, been shot by her gf's sister(thank you for bulletproof-vests), bitten and poisoned which led to induced coma, blown up in a barn, frozen to paralyzm, falling off a cliff(luckily in climbing-gear, unluckily the rope got cut), seduced by a demon wanting to kill her gf, stabbed, drugged and abducted, fallen down a grate(which only resulted in a broken leg, miraculously), spent 18 months alone protecting the Homestead while being attacked by various monsters, coughed up frogs and last but not least drowned. And that's only the ones who lead to or was leading to direct death. And she's currently the only pure human without any special powers!! The reason Waverly ended up being the one to propose(and starting their relationship in S1 as well) is because Nicole would never want to make Waverly do something she's uncomfortable with. Their relationship has always been at Waverly's pace, and Nicole has always been there by her side, supporting her in everything. Nicole(the Police Woman with the big hat) is currently not wearing her hat anymore :'( so I don't think she'll wear it in the wedding. Sorry this is long, I'm just very passionate about WayHaught and Wynonna Earp in general

I truly suggest you all watch the whole Waynonna Earp series. It can seem a little weird at first till you get used to the sci-fi effects that are not as expected but the story line and the acting game are so phenomenal. I got hooked!!! I am straight but really Wayhaught is the best couple I've seen on screen and I've seen a lot as a romantic freak. Meaning, the emotions portrayed are absolutely brilliantly expressed and the story is super well thought. Kudos to the writers and the perfect actors chosen for these roles. Dominique and Katherine. 🙏 P.S: I watched every single con and panel made with the cast and they all seem so humble and amazing as people as well. It's worth mentioning The lead actress Melanie Scrofano is one of the most naturally funny ladies I've seen. Badass on and off screen.

Waverly proposed to Nicole and then they got separated for over a year. The sex scene is when they’re reunited. The initial proposal was interrupted and Nicole never got to tell her yes. Then one of the nights when everyone was together their friend said so are you two gonna get married or what and they were both like “oh actually...” cause they both had something planned. Then Waverly proposed. Wynonna Earp is good because it’s not your typical sad ending lesbian storyline. It’s a nearly completely female cast and with great representation. The actresses who play Nicole and Waverly are both bisexual. The writer has also promised she won’t break them up or kill them off unless she’s forced to by one of the actresses leaving the show
