After graduating from the Recording Arts program in 1992, Leslie Brathwaite moved to Atlanta to develop his career as an audio engineer and mixer. He got his start working with producer Dallas Austin on hit records, including Boyz II Men's II, Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, the Brandy/Monica single "The Boy is Mine," and TLC's Fanmail for which he was honored with his first GRAMMY® award. Now an established fixture in the city's music community, Leslie has worked on hundreds of albums and singles, building professional relationships with artists as diverse as Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Björk, Lil' Wayne, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem.
"I grew up in a very musical culture. I remember at an early age, watching one of the calypso bands. While everyone else is paying attention to the festivities, I'm looking at the equipment, thinking 'How do they hook all of this up?"
