Some Leslie’s are better than others is all I will say. A lot depends on the employee cleaning the test system correctly between tests. I have been to a few…one was always on point with my Taylor K2006 test kit, the other was almost always off. You mileage may vary….

As a manager for Leslie's I have to apologize for that especially during the winter months all I do is test hot tubs probably 20 a day. The pool chemistry is exactly the same for a hot tub as a pool so it shouldn't really matter go back in there and tell them you want to have your water tested for your hot tub just make sure you know how many gallons the hot tub holds that is very important

Get an I care water monitor from ideal water care . It is expensive but you can see your water every hour and it tells you exactly how much and which chemical to add.

Question for you, we have a brand new Thermospa tub and 4 out of the five of us break out with Eczema after each use. I have been using a floating chlorine dispenser (with small slow dissolving chlorine tabs) and adding a little Thermospa granular chlorine and Thermospa Oxidizing Shock) every other day. I have test strips and keep levels in the lower range and use the bubbles product you recommend. Should we be changing to Bromine next season to alleviate the eczema? I haven’t been able to use the tub for over a month due to the flare up 😢

I find both PH and calcium hardness levels are often difficult to tell the on test strips. Your ph was high but i couldn't really tell from your test strip. I have read that if calcium is too low it can damage components. I have never seen a number of what "too low" actually is.

I would bet that if the recommended low is 150 and yours is 27, you meet the qualification of "too low."

First of all, 65% is not good. Think test score so you got a D. You kind of "glossed over" the hardness issue? It is likely the main factor affecting your bad score. Recommendation of 150-250 and your level is 27?? I would rate that as TERRIBLE wouldn't you?
