I must agree with Arin. There is no fucking place for fruit on properly prepared french toast. The quintessential french toast is toasted bread in egg yolk, powdered sugar, and real maple syrup. It is a balance of flavors that works.wonderfully on its own. Adding fruit and crap ruins that balance. Pancakes are different though, they are inherently incomplete in flavor without something else, so adding fruit and crap to pancakes, waffles, etc, is fine..
