2:36 - Seriously, this is a deep-rooted reason why it was OK for home games to be short but frustrating. Just the privilege of playing the game at home was amazing in its own right as a kid. No other arcade-to-home conversion exited me like TMNT2 on NES. Perfect example of how an inferior game with frustrating mechanics (face it, the NES game wasn't amazing) was still amazing to us all when we didn't have to put quarters in. It was worth the downgrades... it was worth the frustrations.

I gotta be honest, I can't watch them play 3D Zelda games since Ocarina of Time. This is especially since Arin is always shitting on them while being so bad at the games that I question whether or not he does so on purpose. I think he was talking more so about the original god of war games. because those games were very dull and the story when being told from a perspective where everything kratos does is a good thing is very annoying. despite what everyone says those games have a lot of flaws. I don't think this has to do with being contradictory when I have seen many other people have the same opinion. the franchise has very devise opinion's. many people just don't know. the same goes with mario 64 and OOT. despite those games being known for bringing zelda and mario into the 3D world. the flaws Arin points out are real. They have a lot of problems that Arin finds but people choose to label it as "Arin sucks so the game looks like it sucks". examples being the clam and dampe in majoras mask. its true that arin is not that good or knowable at zelda. but to say these games are flawless and everything wrong with it was arins fault is just immature. that being said, despite everyone's opinion about arin i think we can all agree that if he wasn't the way he was game grumps wouldn't be as fun.

His hypocrisy in calling out multiple games for being too hand holdy, but then having to use a guide every 5 seconds, ignoring what the game tells him to do because "it was obvious" but then forgetting immediately after then shitting on the game for not "naturally taking him where he is supposed to go" aka, blocking off every single other path besides the one to the objective, in which case he would bitch about the game being too linear and not letting him explore. 2. His absolute arrogance in his delusion that he can't be wrong. For many of his games, he is too obstinate to learn the controls in which case he will fail at the games' intricate mechanics, but instead claim that the controls are shitty and unintuitive when in fact he is bad at using them. Not even to mention how he literally no joke makes points that people who like games he doesn't are either nostalgia blinded or he gets so frustrated that people like a game that he doesn't (he literally says this on the episode that he rage quits majora's mask) and is so self unaware that he comes to an impasse where he is mad that the majority doesnt agree with him and cant grasp that he might just be bad at the game, choosing to listen to his echo chamber of "YES YES ARIN PREACH!!! FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES WITH MY COUNTERCULTURE OPINIONS THAT THESE CLASSIC GAMES ARE SHITTY!!" 3. His utter disregard for his own actions and his fans outside of playing videogames. I can name 2 accounts, one being the time when they "accidentally" outed a guy's name for making a bad walkthrough for the Knuckles section of Sonic Adventure and the guy who made a "Ross isn't cool joke" on twitter that Arin responded to with angry all caps tweets. Both resulted in Grumps fans harrassing the subjects to which he never takes responsibility for, and in the first situation, they responded like "people said we doxxed the dude but like haha no we totally didnt lol sorry oops haha" and for the second one, on a recent Skyward Sword Stream, Ross responded by saying basically "yeah i dont really care, its ok. Plus you guys basically made a killing off talking shit about me in the past soo..." to which Arin immediately discredits by saying "Oh well yeah but its ok for us to do it cuz we're friends but this is just some random dude on the internet so its not ok for that guy" I'm sorry about this huge rant but damn, more and more the things Arin does just piss me off and its very telling how it's not even limited to him just being an ass about videogames anymore. The Game Grumps "This is How You Don't Play" series tells it all. It's more than just a dude raging about games. He shows signs of a legitimately sour personality

Over many minutes of research, I have realized that arin likes games that constantly hold his hand but are just shy of telling him exactly what to do. The problem is that this impossible in most situations, and the games can't be blamed for it. It's all on arin for his situational incompetence and unwillingness to follow simple instructions.
