Less than 24 more hours to go....SURPRISE HOME MAKEOVER for my in-laws!

We officially have less than 24 more hours to get this house in order before we pick mom and dad up from their trip and surprise them with a home makeover on a budget! They are going to freak out!

The paint alone has made the world of difference. The red is perfect on the lower cabinets. But, all the special details are turning this make over into something uniquely amazing. Mom and Dad will be blown away.

I started my painting business when I was around 50 years old. I already had arthritis in my hands. I ALWAYS used a 4" mini roller to paint because a 9" roller filled with paint was a killer on my hands. People who don't have hand pain do not understand. I often got complimented by clients for the speed at which I could get a job done with those tiny rollers.

Am I the only lunatic who continually interrupted my workday today to check youtube for your latest update on the kitchen???? I thought I'd lose my mind, waiting for it. I'm here thinking, "get the boys to paint triangles!!! Let the guys go pick up mom and dad so you can gain some extra time!" I love the red!!! I had been stressing about how you are going to put those drawer pull knobs on under the sink!! The plumbing is rigged and functional. I know you can still pull up the countertop but I was scared for the sink’s sake. Then I stopped and told myself, “Wait! This Elysia and Phil!! They’e got this with a ton of forethought and it’s all gonna be just fine!!” The IKEA cabinet is really cute in its smallness. I like the overall lines of it. It’s much more practical and nonintrusive in this kitchen. Great plan!! The living room is sooo nice from what was visible at this time. And you’re right. I/we are excited about this project!!!!!
