This is my current new rv search favorite. If I could change anything, it would be to have a shower and not a tub for ease of access for folks with limited mobility. The seating engineering that eliminates the slide and still has a couch and dinette is inspired. As usual, Josh's review is spot on and told me some things about it others left out, avoided or misspoke about.

Funny thing about leaving "ON TIME"! Last trip we were going on I told the wife that I wanted to leave by 9. We were filling up on the way several hours behind schedule because it was dark and I was wanting to be at our camp during daylight! I looked at my watch after fueling up and it was 8:55pm. I told my wife, "Hey look honey, we're on the road before 9!!" LOL I now know that I need to clarify AM and PM in my departure time!! LOL

Love the bedroom! Especially the camper queen! With my wife and I at 5 1/2 feet it's perfect for us. Also the love the '2 places to sit' option. Both a dinette and a sofa, Yay! That is actually one of the top things my wife and I are looking for. Never cared for the along the side bathroom designs. Couldn't see a way to rearrange though without making the bed into a murphy and the sofa under the murphy. Fully agree with you about the table.

I own the 2021 of this model. My bed has the sag problem so I will do the wall fix that Jayco did under the bed. I do not have the ceramic toilet. The bathroom is a little small, but I am glad it has one. Under the sofa is where they have the water heater, furnace, and water pump. Only thing I added is a mahogany shelf (underneath of the shelf is hollowed out for weight) across the backs of the dinette because of limited counter space of this model. Like having the easy to clean floors. Bed size is adequate for my wife and I (5'6"). Love the window views. Don't have the outside gas line, and yes I would fix the drooping line too. I have the darker cabinets and like them over the lighter ones shown. Magnetic latches are better than my plastic hooks on my pass through. I have the ladder :) I want to do mostly boondocking so bigger house battery and solar is an upgrade I plan to do. My refrigerator is 12v electronic only. Does anyone know if the heater is ducted to the enclosed underbelly to help the tanks from freezing (I'm near detroit). Still glad we made this purchase.

We currently own a 212QB and I will say it is the PERFECT camper for two people. However, we use ours to sleep four adults and the dinette/sofa beds are way too short for adults (5' 1" & 5' 8"). I wish there was a way to fill in the gap between the dinette and sofa so two adults could lay sideways in the back. However, for two adults and even two YOUNG kids, it's great. The dinette legs are a pain to deal with.

The SLX 212QB “as is” is a very nice couple’s camper with space for grandkids. Jayco should consider adding a similar floor plan to its Jay Feather Micro line. This design is a very nice layout, no complaints at all :) But I think the Grey Wolf 20RDSE is simply hands-down gorgeous. Literally, a simple easy comfortable & uncluttered clean layout. And honestly, appears much more open looking looking than this model. Even though the GW doesn't have the additional recliners, two people can still easily sit back, put up their feet & relax in the dinette to chat & watch TV. But agree, while the boob-toob is a nice convenience, hopefully you're not getting out & away from home to watch it.

My favorite thing about this Travel trailer: zero slides. My least favorite thing is that it is sticks and tin constructed trailer . If I could change anything it would be Azdel walls with Aluminum frame constructed trailer including the bed frame. Wood framed travel trailers fall apart faster because would framing starts rotting with just a little exposure to any water whether it is from a water leak in the water pipes , or condensation that collects on the interior walls and cargo bays from being in storage ,or not being ventilated properly during camping trips. So yeah! Change the whole framework to Aluminum and make the walls Azdel outside and inside to reduce condensation, and it would be my pick as a good solo or couple's travel trailer.

Thanks Josh! I have been waiting for this video on my quest to find the perfect one and done camper. The camp side "glass with class" is nice. The addition of the door viewing window and the propane cooker hooker upper definitely makes this an upgrade over the 2021 in my mind. In general, my biggest dislike goes to all Jayco SLX in general with the bathroom mirror. They go to great lengths to offer more/better than their competition in this class in most every other area and than slap on the cheapest piece of glass in Indiana. I know it is an easy fix, but it comes off as cheap. Next waiting for 2022 236TH. It seems like it could accomplish similar one and done functionality to the 212QB with a little more versatility for our two dogs and bringing friend along for the ride. Thanks as always for your videos and the motivation to up my "dad joke" game. I got double eye rolls from the wife and kid today which is the equivalent of "Two Thumbs Up" in my world

One of my favorite things about the 2022 version is the detachable shore power. The 2021 didn't have that. My least favorite thing about this one you are showing is the dangly propane hose for the cooker hooker, that one must have been missed by the Q.C. inspector. But truly my least favorite thing is how they change from the chocolate brown to the farm house cabinets in the rear of the trailer. Please Jayco uniformity of color. I would want to see all of the cabinets with the farm house color, except the bedroom area. Those can stay the darker wood.

Couple questions Josh. This same model with the overland solar package, 2023, has a utility (120VAC)? wire in the front pass thru for an inverter hookup, and the tag also says it's for the outlets. What would be the best inverter to use with the one Solar panel on the roof and 2 batteries instead of one, while boondocking? I'd say a coffee pot, maybe a phone charger, possibly a toaster. Any good videos out there on how to install it on a Jayco or similar? Thank you sir!

I'm back! I've been feeling bad about possibly commenting too much, so I took a step away 😁. Great video per the usual. 1. What's my biggest like: Floorplan and ceiling height. 2. What's my biggest dislike: I'm not a fan of ordering a TT with a rear ladder included and having to pay extra for an aftermarket alternative. So keeping things straight. No outside kitchen but a "cooker hooker", no solar but solar prepped, Morryde steps and suspension and good tires. Plus two interior color combos. This is a great ride. I love it because I'm certain that it's 1/2 ton towable so I wouldn't have to upgrade my truck, but I'm trying to offer a better opinion. Great trailer, and another awesome Jayco entry into this weight class. I'd call it an "Ideal Couples Camper" or a "Thoughtful Trailer for Both of You plus one, maybe two* *depending how old your plus one or two are.

What about the Exhaust Fan in the bathroom ? Is it the standard useless one with small fan or the upgraded larger fan ? I know upgrade to MaxAir is not on there but there seems to be an exhaust fan going into RV now that have the full size blades similar to MaxAir that should do fine and not require the upgrade or change to MaxAir aftermarket. In general, all RV videos should at least scan the ceiling areas to visually show the type of exhaust fans being used. That's one thing I look for in videos. Not having to later buy a MaxAir and install one is a plus for me..
@JoshtheRVNerd

These come from the factory with just the small fan. We have a host of upgrade options but my favorite is the Heng's Vortex series. They're less expensive, high velocity, and less invasive
@davidrollins8474
@davidrollins8474 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the prompt reply. Imagine the Heng's Vortex would be a good, cost effective upgrade. Love the no-slide layout for this 212QB. Easy to pull and fine for a couple to camp. Not Glamping but very doable. Also like the ducted A/C unit. We've got a small RV (Flagstaff E-Pro 19FBS) but the non-ducted A/C is much noisier than the ducted units once you install a baffle chamber to the unit. Got a larger RV and used 1" foam board to build a baffle and it quited the unit a bunch for ducted. For use the E-Pro is too small; the Jayco would be bettter but we were attracted to the pluses of E-Pro with solar, Azdel, MaxAir and other features.

Love the RV. What I would change? I'd make it a full across the back bathroom, toilet in the middle, shower on one side, sink on the other, and I'd upgrade to a true queen bed, even if that meant making the trailer 6" longer. I'd move to a 2 seat dinette across from the kitchen. Just my opinion. Good looking camper though.
