I am relatively a beginner but my left pinky finger got fractured a few years back. I have some pain in the finger if I press it on the string. Someone suggested I pick up a nylon string guitar or put nylon strings on my acoustic guitar. What is your take on that?

@@ruchirguitar You can play the Guitar with the help of 3 fingers by tilting your hand slightly. It's very commonly played like that by a lot of modern guitarists. Even if you have a nylon guitar , you would still need to put pressure with the pinky. An electric guitar on the other hand would be more convenient to play

I practiced for a year or so from 2015 (seems that's the year you posted this video!) and then started playing songs with strumming and finger style but then the bridge broke from the guitar. I just stopped playing guitar after that. I have decided to start again. I like fingerstyle a lot and listening to that makes me want to play the guitar again. I had Yamaha F280 in my mind after seeing few videos on youtube and a blog suggesting it's good for fingerstyle. But I see that you have suggested Aria Aw15CE, Kaps st-1000 or even Yamaha F310 in a comment many years ago. Till now I hadn't heard about Aria and Kaps, it's good that I got to see your comment and got to know about these brands. For Fingerstyle learning would you recommend Yamaha F280 or any other models mentioned above or any other model around the same budget? Thanks sir!

Ideally a nylon string guitar is most suggested for finger style picking. Yamaha and fender has a few good nylon string guitars that you can consider

Yamaha f310 dont have cut out near , but you said yamaha f310 is good guitar.

Yes it doesn't have a cut. However you can easily play that guitar upto the 15th fret since the body begins from there
