Lesson 5, Mount a Scroll Saw Pattern Using Glue and Tape

In this video I show the materials that I use to mount a pattern for cutting. The only preparation step I skip in this pattern is drilling entry holes since all the cuts are the same as external cuts. I show tapes and adhesives I use and how I apply them and mount the pattern. It is a very simple process but one I didn't know when I started. Below are links to the adhesives I use most of the time. Any tape that is designed for painters with an adhesive that is easy to remove will work as a base. It helps when removing the pattern after cutting.

That blue tape is painters masking tape. It is an essential part of my shop not just for mounting patterns, I use it for many things and there are videos on KZbin on tips for using it. The one I mostly use is made by 3M and is sold almost anywhere you can buy building and painting supplies. There are other brands and even different colors.
