I feel your pain. This video made me realize that gold prospecting might be as much of a pipe dream as crypto mining-albeit crypto mining is less work. Hang in there. :(. Your pocket is out there somewhere.

So, in an earlier life, i was taught that one needs to screen fire assay results of lode samples over an ounce per ton, take a look at the ore mineralogy and amount of free gold present, and, finally, run column tests on the various particle sizes of ore to see if you can get the gold out or not. Just a consideration for your viewers. I like the way you analyze the results of your final tests. I think there is a recovery issue with the ore in the mineralogy. Perhaps it is a distribution of the particle size of free gold issue? Need additional data... Is gold tied up in sulfides or quartz, or in the alteration? Does the ore need roasting? If so, walk away. Thanks for this discussion.

In this case it is fully oxidized. Yes, the preliminary metallurgical testing is more complex than most people realize. You can simplify to some extent, but only at the expense of increasing risk.

By calculation how much one recovers and how much one loses with different techniques that cost different amounts, one can determine what is the most profitable way to process the ore.

That would be in 'Can I make money gold mining'. The short answer is no for this project. It only ran about 1/4 Oz/Ton about ten inches wide. Between the low grade and low tonnage it would not be possible to turn a decent profit. It takes all these steps just to get to the calculation point. It is not as simple as one would want If you go to my web site HardRockU.com I have made a mining project economics calculator that lets you input the numbers for any proposed project and get a good idea whether it makes sense on paper. Ball park: for an underground mine with no complications you would generally want at least one ounce per ton, one foot wide or 1/2 OZT two feet wide. For micro scale ( one or two tons per day)it is hard to make a profit on 1/4 OZT, but for larger throughput, it gets VERY profitable. Keith

@hardrockuniversity72837 жыл бұрын
No, it was 8.6 Kg (18.95 lbs) of black sand concentrate that contained 72.1g of gold / 1000Kg of concentrate. That worked out to only 34% of the total gold in the original sample. With 30% of the gold in the original sample recovered as free gold, that meant we only got 64% total recovery in this test. That is not very good, but not terrible. Keith

Mine is a gravity separation table- not floatation. I am not familiar with refiners in Argentina. I would suggest talking to mining companies or assay labs to see if you can find one. Keith

Good morning, thank you, I have a question, is regarding the installation of centrifuges FIRST AND SECOND GRADE TYPE HELIX MANUFACTURED BY GOLD-INDUSTRIES, THEY DO NOT INCLUDE IN THE PROCESS OF RECOVERY OF GOLD ROCK GROUND TO TABLE floatation UD is your opinion? SECOND QUESTION IS THAT PROCESS MAKES A BLACK SAND RECOVERED IN THE PROCESS before sending it to the refinery? IN ARGENTINA NO REFINERIES PROCESS, YOU CAN TELL ME SOME REFINERY IN USA, MEXICO, ETC?
