The calcaneus tendons are the strongest tendons but still easy to damage. From time to time I've got tension on Tibialis Anterior, and 4 lateral muscles of Extensor Digitorum Longus ,Extensor Hallucis, Fibularis Longus , Fibularis Brevis. I hope to address the problem as the study continues. Thanks for the lesson Maria. Dimple's Day 27 check in

Oh wow! So, I bet that’s what developed my plantar fascitis. I’ve worn heels for many years and now that I became a licensed esthetician/ massage therapist, I’ve gone to flat shoes and I began to develop pain on my Achilles. I believe it’s due to what you said, the shortening of the calcaneal tendon. That makes sense to me now. You are so knowledgeable!! Great info. Gracias.
@MassageTherapeutics915
@MassageTherapeutics915 3 жыл бұрын
I forgot to mention the plantar fasciitis! You are very smart and figured it out! Yes heels is a main cause of calcaneal pain. Congratulations on becoming an aesthetician & massage therapist! You sound very knowledgeable yourself. Thank you for your support and feedback! Rolling your plantar side over a frozen water bottle really helps. Get someone to massage the plantar side & stretch it. It’s very painful yet I’ve had a few clients that swear by the massages I gave them. It went away. Best of wishes for you! 🤗

Like an onion you can peel a new layer with knowledge. After 32 years I’m still learning. We start with techniques, then we learn more on kinesiology, compassion, intent, empathy and energy are a great combination. When we learn how to help & assist the body heal itself it’s the ultimate reward. Blessings to you you!!! ❤️. Stay healthy and strong

how or with what techniques we can help clients who step with the lateral edge of the foot and those who step with the medial. what in your practice you have noticed that gives results. to what extent we should pay attention to the whole chain back, thighs, legs. thank you in advance 🙏🏼❣️

Maira Know good question. When client inverts the foot (like putting feet together) I find that the lateral leg muscles are weaker. I pay extra attention to the Tibialis anterior & posterior, flexor Digitorum Longus & flexor Hallucis longes. These muscles are usually hypertonic. The shoes are worn out on the lateral side. I also massage the Soleus & gastrocnemius & the lateral muscles which do the opposite action. Inversion has a greater range of motion than Eversion. With Eversion the lateral muscles are hypertonic wearing out the shoes on the medial side. You can work specifically on the Fibularis Longus & Brevis & Tertius along with the extensor Digitorum Longus. These 4 muscles on the lateral side are usually very tight and are pulling the foot out. You also want to work posterior leg muscles to balance them all out. It is challenging to explain on text how to work these muscles. I hope this answers your great question. Thank you 😊
