Hi. You need a helping verb in the simple past. Use "did": Who did she see? With the verb BE, you do not need a helping verb: Where was she? What was wrong? Who was there? Why was he angry? How was the weather?

One day, he was alone in his house, and then he fell asleep. 2. There was a boy named Abdel. One day, he was alone in his house. Then he fell asleep. You don't really need "then." You can write: 3. There was a boy named Abdel. One day, he was alone in his house, and he fell asleep.
