EXTREMELY HELPFUL‼️I’m in Chiba, Japan and just ordered your book from Amazon. It’s arriving TOMORROW. Gotta love prime! I really appreciate your in-depth explanations of RH functions. So many videos seem to skim the surface of right hand responsibilities and make it mostly about the left hand. Thank you very much‼️🎵🎶🎵‼️

Hello from France! I’ve practised with your method volumes 1 and 2, and also started the Repertoire Grade 1. As a singer I often use arpeggios to accompany myself, I also can tackle sophisticated bossa nova chords. But when I record my playing it doesn’t sound “clean” enough and it's not a matter of gear, so I guess I rushed through the basic exercises. I’m going to buy the Technique Book and spend the necessary time on each exercise and the matching video lessons. Learning classical guitar has already helped so far and I do enjoy playing the short pieces, but I need to work more efficiently. Thank you for your teaching.

Really great lesson points out my lack of understanding of exactly how to approach these. Though I realized sequential playing of notes was required when changing chords to increase tempo I was having difficulty. Though you have emphasized the importance of sequential planting, it is finally sinking in!!

A really interesting lesson, especially on the tempo and rest strokes. 😎 I've also noticed that one should just aim for the next note in the Giuliani studies rather than getting the entire chord at once. I've shared this with my friend Todd, he's up to number 98 out of 120.

Ya, I highly recommend students cover all the concepts with my open string exercises before tackling these though. If you tackle it with easier material you can just focus on the new aspects of these Giuliani challenges.

Hey Bradford thanks so much for the video Quick question is it still possible to get the same on arpeggios speed without planting ? Thanks so much

I'm on #s 27-30 right now, and working on placing accents so they're grouped in 2s, 3s, and 6s. It's challenging trying to control the timing so the stresses fall where I want them to.

Right hand thumb (p)- whether side flesh or nail, through which part we have to play the strings? Great video..Cheers

Contact the string with both flesh and nail. You can practice by stoping on the next thumb note and making sure you have nail contact with some flesh in there as well. Check out my nail article: www.thisisclassicalguitar.com/fingernails-on-classical-guitar/

Great, thanks Bradford. I wish I had discovered your channel earlier. As an adult learner, I started learning classic guitar 5 years ago with a professional teacher. Strangely he never asked me to do the left hand or right hand exercises. A few months ago I went to a new teacher and the new teacher had to teach me the basics such as hand positions and postures etc. This was helpful but the new teacher never mentioned Guiliani's exercises. It's on your channels that I learned about these. I have bought your Technic Book and are working through the book so a huge thanks to you! I've got another question is ' after learning with teachers for 5 years, I still feel very armature. I feel I'm stuck at my current early intermediate level. How can I progress into more advanced level?' Thanks! Pity I do not live in Canada!

Thanks for the nice words. First off, if you are studying with a teacher make sure to follow their advice, they know what best for you. Have you progressed through a method book system?

I don't know of any Giuliani etudes or exercises all on a single string, you're sure it's Giuliani? Maybe Pujol or Tarrega would be more likely if it's 18/19th century.
