the Western Dragon model is often a symbol of greed and destruction while the Eastern Dragon are often a symbol for wisdom and creation. But what both models share in common that is undeniable, is that they are power incarnate.

It's not a matter of Can't. Medea can (in theory) summon the dragon, but she'd have Zero control over it and would almost certainly die to friendly fire.

Abridged Archer EMIYA: Let me get this straight. He summoned a Caster. Got upset when his non Rider servant couldn't summon a dragon their legend doesn't even mention them controlling in the first place. Then proceed to get angry when his Caster servant is better at magecraft then him?

I still wanna know how exactly Nasu *defines* phantasmal beings because when I hear the word phantasmal, it makes me think of *ethereal* beings like ghosts; & the fact that dragons can be slain proves that they're *corporeal* . Also, it wasn't *just* his greed that turned Fáfnir (Fowf.nir) into a dragon; in the story of Ottars Ransom, Lóki (Hlou.ki) basically *mugged* the dwarf king Andvari for his gold to pay the ransom to Ottars family, but Andvari plead with Lóki to at the *very* least let him keep a specific *ring* that'd let him create *more* gold to replenish his wealth; when Lóki *refused* , Andvari *cursed* the ring to *prey* on greedy peoples greed, & bring anyone *besides* himself who claimed it as their own to meet a *horrible* end. After the ransom was paid, the ring *preyed* on Fáfnirs greed, & he *killed* his father to sieze it *&* the ransom for *himself* before flying to a cave he'd make his lair once the *ring* caused his greed to turn him into a dragon. Also, I honestly find the Nibelungenlied version of the slaying to be a whole lot *lamer* because of the bathing in the blood & becoming completely immortal except for a small area on a hard to reach spot on his body thing; it honestly *trivializes* all of Siegfrieds *later* exploits when you know it's most likely thanks to his literally being almost completely *invincible* that he was able to do them. *Contrast* that with the Völsunga Saga, in which Sigurð eats part of Fáfnirs heart (he saved the other part for the woman he'd marry), & only gaining the ability to understand the speech of birds means that other than that, he was still an ordinary man who did all those later feats, which makes Sigurð a *way* more impressive figure than Siegfried. I'm also surprised you didn't give so much as a mention to *Niðhoggr* ; the dragon that lies at the roots of Yggdrasil, & *gnaws* on its roots; with its completely gnawing one of them *off* being one of the triggers of *Ragnarök* , & which afterwards would devour the corpses of the dead.

Wouldn't it technically apply to Mélusine? She is both a dragon and a fairy (kinda). I think it would be something like this: Main circuits of her Dragon nucleus (that's the name of the skill) that acts as the main reactor, while the divine patterns act as sub circuits for a more focused channeling of her magical energy.
