If someone didn't mention it by now... the last note on the tab is incorrect. It should be a whole note on the open D string not on the open G string. At least that is what Marcel plays here, and it makes more sense as the final chord is D maj.

Hot damn Marcel its like a freekin' music theory machine gun firing at us! I am going to have to sit with this for like a year! PS - I haven't gone Marcel youtube wading to see if you have a Ginseng Sullivan. I am trying for this one by playing out of a C shape, capo'ed second to keep it in artist key of D ......there seems to be no standard on this one!

Hey there! I do play Ginseng Sullivan with C shapes. Most people want to capo 2nd for D or 4th for E so it's a pretty logical choice. Lots of guitar players do that. You should check out an old video I did on More Pretty Girls Than One. It's a very similar tune and might get you going in the right direction!
