Visited Mathikhrü this summer for my internship. Who knew such a beautiful and innocent village would carry such a dark sided story. I really respect the women folks who survived the attack that day and braved themselves to rebuild the village which famously stands today telling the stories of one that showed true patriotism and much courage faced before the giants by the innocent men folks. I was very pleased and honoured to meet the people out there who wore a big smile as they welcome us, kind souls, very much God-fearing, humility and the face that reflected the true spirit of courage and never giving up! God bless the people of Mathikhrü village and to all the people of Pochury, your stories that left a legacy and sacrifice you bore will continue to live on throughout the ages. Kuknalim!

Have our freedom fighters forgotten about these incidents? The real FFs were fighting for justice and freedom. Alas! All we have now are goons bringing menace to our own kind and killing our own brethren. To the unborn ones who had died in your mothers' wombs , I'm sorry you never got to live the beautiful lives you were meant to live. I'm sure your mothers fought and bore the kicks and brunts till the end. To the helpless men, I'm sorry you had to face such humiliations. You were all warriors and great men. To the girls and women, the blood stains on your beautiful petals can never be wiped clean. I'm sorry, you had to go through all this. These narrations make even the toughest of men cry. To all the victims of this merciless tortures and massacres, you never deserved this cruelty. Rest, hush now, depart in peace, dearest men and women, the littles ones and the unborn angels.

It really pains my heart to know about the inhumane ordeal they had to go through. But, what is even more dismaying is the present freedom fighters who have derailed and altered the essence of our political struggle laid by our forefathers , I.e complete sovereignty from the Indian union. With the passage of time, our present freedom fighters have become a victim of the foxy policy of the Indian govt., even willing to trade our rights for monetary gains and status. I hope this type of video will awaken our national workers once again from their nonchalant approach. Thank you, Take one, for making our history alive. Also, forget about our govt., but how nice it'd be if those well-to-do citizens or politicians around the area can come together and initiate to make this village a historical tourism oriented village for the Naga struggle, because they deserved it. The struggle and ordeal they went though may just be the tip of the iceberg, and for which we Nagas should come together in upholding and respecting them.

An unimaginable pain and suffering has our elders endured. Their undying sacrifice for us younger generation is incomparable, we as younger generation must never forget and let go the struggle and sacrifices made.
