Is SEM-5/Grb2 really phosphorylated? The SH2 domain of SEM-5/Grb2 binds phosphotyrosines on the LET-23 cytoplasmic to recruit it to the receptor. In turn, SH3 domains on SEM-/Grb2 bind PxxP sequences on SOS-1/LET-341. (SEM-5 and SOS-1 probably exist in a complex even in the absence of signaling. Also, it is not IST genes. It is LST genes, for "Lateral Signal Transduction." (Yoo and Greenwald (2004))

Thnq so much sir for ur such a deep information regarding vulval development. All others videos related to this topic hv skipped the part of notch delta signalling as well as ras map kinase part as u hv described in this video. I hv searched for this relationship between notch delta signals with vulva formation of c.elegans. thanks a lot sir. Hope for getting such deep informative videos in future too....
