I love these old country houses. It's a shame that so many are left to decay. The barn is so beautiful!

@@NiagaraUrbanExplorer Northern Ontario has some amazing places! It's definitely worth driving up there, not only for all the abandoned places, but the scenery is beautiful too.

The house was built in the late 1800's. The door in the basement might have been a coal shut. With all the black mold. There would have to be a lot stripping down to the bones of the house. To get rid of it all. Might be to expensive to renovate? Overall a nice fine.

Yes this is one of our better finds ,I love the old farmhouses, not sure why these places are left to rot ,such a waste
@waynebender8835Ай бұрын
@NiagaraUrbanExplorer I agree. I have seen many abandoned houses. Some with everything left behind. You start to wonder what happened. It couldn't been anything good.
@NiagaraUrbanExplorerАй бұрын
@waynebender8835 I have several videos still to upload of houses with everything left behind, fridges still full of rotted food ,clothing in the drawers, like they just disappeared 😐 it's a weird experience walking through those places but I love it 👍

Man I would love to buy one of these old places and fix it. We have been looking for farmhouses just like this to refurbish and yeah, theres alot of them, but many are wrapped up in probate and untouchable or belong to farmers who bought out the smaller farm and are actively using the land who dont want people living on the property. This ones really cool!!!
@NiagaraUrbanExplorerАй бұрын
@ericthiel4053 yah it's sad , so many of these places could become homes again instead of wasting away
@ericthiel4053Ай бұрын
@NiagaraUrbanExplorer Definitely!!! And I've always felt these old farm houses are a unique part of history and should be preserved. No-one builds these like that anymore, and to think this was considered "cheap" back then. Just imagine the cost of materials and custom work alone now!!
@NiagaraUrbanExplorerАй бұрын
@ericthiel4053 yah I notice a big difference in the older places really holding up well even the rough ones compared to the newer houses that tend to decay much faster and the craftsmanship is just awesome to check out ,just don't see that anymore

Hope you got the owners permission to go there.

Lol @ the low fire alarm battery. You should have taken out the battery and check the production date. 💔

Would be interesting to know the background story. 🇨🇦 .
@NiagaraUrbanExplorerАй бұрын
@qualitybydesign5119 it was the original family home on the farm and as kids grow up and build there own homes these places usually get abandoned in time
@qualitybydesign5119Ай бұрын
Was this house in Niagara on the Lake, Virgil, St Davids area ? I noticed the vineyards and large newer houses nearby.
@NiagaraUrbanExplorerАй бұрын
@qualitybydesign5119 we explore all over the Niagara region ,most of the farmhouses are surrounded by vineyards, original houses on the properties that just get forgotten as new homes get built by the next generation
