what is sweet about a soldier ? in this case the trooper is a female gunner in her ceremonial duties she is part of another branch of British Royal artillery mobile support for the royal armored division. To support tanks 155mm mobile artillery these shells come with massive destruction fire power is she a sweet soldier now ! She should have spoken to the boy in a firm manner , with a authoritative command "stay back" with or without the intervention of the boys father, she was shy and quite this is not a role for shrinking violets, regardless if a male/ male soldier, you have protect your space and prevent tourist getting to close she's a active member of britain's armed forces that support front line infantryman like the guard regiments .

So many talking about the child needing discipline, how he's not touching but grabing the reigns, how the father should have more control. He is just a child, excited about everything new he's seeing. Even the guard understands this and doesn't shout at him but instead orders the horse to move away from the boy. No the horse is not in distress, they are trained to endure much much worse situations.

Very negative response. If you look at the video, the child is foreign and more than likely never seen anything like this. The Guard and the parent gently reminded the child and he immediately dropped the rein. Not once did he pull on it - he was holding it very gently. Thankfully a better response from the Guard, the parent and the child, than adults who comment without thought...
@karenmccann3562

I've seen some horrific incidents with selfish, 'entitled' adults grabbing the reins and spoilt children being allowed to do as they please. To me, this was an excited child who forgot himself and the Guard was firm but clear. Also, it sounds to me that 'Dad' is repeating 'not okay, not okay' and the child immediately listened to the Guard and his parent, remembered the rule and let go. No harm done in this case. Just so nice to see a child listens and a parent doing what parents should do. Watch their children. I hope they had a lovely day....

Respect to the Kings Guard who calmly asked the boy to not touch the reins - normally such actions get a loud and forceful reaction as they are trained to do but this guard knew that such a response was not necessary. Great parenting from the boy’s father who corrected him immediately and well done to the young boy who quickly responded to being corrected and furthermore turned to the guard and apologised. Yes, people should not interfere with the guards or their horses as they are on duty but I am glad that this guard saw innocence of the situation and the respect the father has for the rules and by gently correcting the boy he has taught him what is expected and this day will be one he will remember for all the right reasons and not because of fear.

The child was politely listening to the Guard who spoke to him very quietly, telling him not touch. He immediately responded to his Dad reminding him too. He was clearly just excited and the people who knew what happened, dealt with it correctly. Full admiration for the Guard, the parent and the child.
