I believe that many guys really do return when a woman starts prioritizing herself, but to me it doesn't matter when they return to me, I've either lost all interest in them, because I wasn't too invested into trying to get to know them anyway, or (if I really liked the guy) I'm too resentful to let them be part of my life again, I could see myself giving someone a second chance, but only if they didn't abandon me in a really toxic way in the first place (like through ghosting or posting pictures of them being with someone else right after abandoning me) and only if he apologized for leaving me and treated me better than the last time.
