"Let It Go" from Frozen LIVE Caleb Hyles

From the singer who blew everyone away with his cover of "Let It Go," from Disney's Frozen, Caleb Hyles. Performed LIVE in Montgomery, AL, as a special surprise at Aldersgate UMC's silent auction fundraiser for youth missions. They raised over $1,000 just to hear him sing! It was such a pleasure to sing for my church family :) Always feels like home. Just as a little disclaimer, I had been recovering from a gnarly case of strep throat that whole week, and I was quite the nervous leaf on a tree, believe it or not! (hence the many flat notes, and forgotten lyrics :P) All that is to say, I'm so grateful to my church family, and I can't thank y'all enough for the love and support.

The last note was an e flat but super high for male voice takes a lot out of you but he didnt shift it down an octave he shifted it down to a c flat same octave so it sounded wrong or flat when it wasnjust him pushing himself further than he should have prolly cus he knew he may crack that last note given the effort of the notes before it. Caleb really is a great singer in terms of fundamentals he could do opera

Anyway I don't think He was sick, probably He just cannot sing this song live in this very high key... to be honest there is another live version of this singer singing this song, and it's not better at all: he skip all the higher note suddenly changing octave (quite annoying) and plus he is not in pitch and have some problem with the time: IL TEMPO ! PS: If you are sick and you are a singer, no matter what, you don't have to strain this way: not just because it sucks even because it hurts.

kduque068 It was for a church function - the surprise ending of their annual talent show. He grew up in that church. Many in the audience were probably just astounded because they didn't know of his singing abilities.

I absolutely loved the studio recording but this was disappointing for me.. most of the song was semitone flat, and high notes sounded strained and weak in power =(

Zuriel I am indeed a singer, and I do understand. The statement I commented on and the reply you've given me don't match up at all. And my statement still stands. He cannot give 100% all the time. If he had tried to go full force with a sore throat he could have damaged his vocal cords and lost his gift for good.

actually lazrpo, you don't need to lose your voice if you're not using it in a wrong way. I can, for example, hit those notes with no force at all, because I use to sing rock, songs like Livin on a prayer will give you power and experience.
