Don’t Stress your Jaw, Master Class #1, Floor Jansen first class it dropped today. On this song, Let It Go I showed a few of my friends who have Granddaughters and call this song their drinking song, because as soon as the grand kids leave they start drinking because how tired of this song they are after hearing it 1000 times. After they listened to Floor version they said Floor making it metal, and putting emotion into each word and lyrics, she made it her own. Exactly what you said, She truly is a great voice & entertainer. not only young little girls that are frozen fans, i like disney cartoon/animated movies quite a lot and frozen is my favourite one, dethroning mulan when it (frozen) came out in 2013, and im a young adult male who usually listens to metal. also, of the official version of "let it go", my favourite is the korean version sung by hyolyn (formerly part of the kpop group sistar)

I liked your observation about her dissecting the lyrics. I rarely pay attention to the words in songs, but Floor's presentation of lyrics and her clean enunciation make me do so, allowing me to connect with the song. Only Floor could take one of the most annoyingly overplayed songs and make it into something so fresh that I listen to it a couple times a day now! Also loved your Ursula rendition! ❤

Greetings from Finland! Floor does not make covers, but always adds her own spin to the original. As a perfectionist & true professional she also uses the AKG C12 VR tube condenser microphone that costs USD 6000. However, many reactors before you have complained about the mixing being off & her vocals too low in volume.

This is something I did not notice until editing. My headphones, which are admittedly on their last leg, let me hear her just fine. I agree though that her vocal was really low. It is something that is often hard to gauge until you post the video in our experience.

The reason this song is so popular with younger girls is because it describes an archetypal crossing of a psychological barrier. From a young girl's perspective you have to at some point stop being molded by your parents expectations and embrace your own developing personality. This matures her and pushes her into the 'tween years' to a brave new environment with upcoming puberty on the horizon.

Just imagine how this must have gone at the Floor/Hannes home: 'ok Freja, I've heard this song SO often now, let's listen to it in mom and dads way!'. Digging up the gear at home, calling in some favours from band members from Sabaton and Nightwish, or simply doing it all themselves (I am sure both Hannes and Floor can do more than just play drums and sing...).
