Women are so hard on themselves. Not wearing makeup, not being super thin, not getting your eyebrows/nails etc done is NOT letting yourself go. It's personal choice and we are not obliged to do these things. Be healthy, happy and hygienic and that's all that matters!

I was super insecure at a size 0. Then at a size 10 I was still insecure. Went back to a size 6 and improved a bit because I changed my view a bit. If it's not my weight, it's my nose. If it's not my nose, it's my hair. That's when I realized I have to learn to love myself no matter what I look like cause I'll always find something to obsess over if I don't.

Adrienne needs to have a baby and see the reality of that for herself. Hormones are no joke. And post partum depression is cruel to your mind. Some women have "let themselves go" while depressed. That year and a half that tamera mentioned is a reasonable time frame to get your mind stable again after having a child.
@tinytowz44717 жыл бұрын

Khadiya S what! ?!? How is she not letting them live? A spades a spades. Calling someone out on something doesn't mean she's toting feelings for Tamar. Tamar always talked about Loni's travel beeni and that's the only person we know had a problem with Loni "letting go." So it's an observation, nothing with not letting them live.

I can't wait for Adrienne to have a child because she'll be able to relate to mothers. It's not easy Adrienne and I really hope you don't suffer from postpartum because that's real too! And it would most likely hit you because you look at vanity as a way to be. Plus you spent a long time just thinking of yourself. Your life changes in a heart beat and there ain't no going back.
@MajesticMyronn7 жыл бұрын
To me just because someone has a little bit of weight on them doesn't mean they don't care for themselves or are "unhealthy" if they wanna lose weight... That's their business ! If they gain weight , it's THEIR business ! How about no matter what is going internally and externally in our bodies is important HOWEVER how about we just love ourselves no matter how we look
@somebody75387 жыл бұрын
This conversation is really upsetting for me. I was in an abusive relationship for years and forced to wear ugly clothes, no makeup, no skincare products, no razor sometimes and I knew people were always judging me in public. Sometimes you really don't know what people are going through. I never let myself go on the inside.

@Fatima-rz9vt3 жыл бұрын
You matter too though...your husband matters... All you guys matter so take care of yourself first your husband will definitely appreciate that and so where your child because they will look up to that. But of course this comes with time no one is doing all this right after a baby.

Yessss Tamera! I did exactly the same thing. When I frightened myself it was time to take action despite what other people were saying about binding bellies or i should have lost weight if I was breastfeeding etc.... meh... about a year after my last son was born I worked on me and all the weight fell off. I was smaller than I had ever been. Don't let society or men dictate these things to you ladies. My journey is on my fb page. I also had adrenal fatigue as well as hypertension and it all went!

Tamar reference at 3:10. In fact, I remember how annoyed Loni would look whenever Tamar referenced her beanies. You gotta let people be. Not everyone is or want to look glam 24/7 🙄
@29rare7 жыл бұрын
I read a book over getting my nails done. And I'd do that every single day. It's not important, to me, to look good or whatever. If my husband is home I don't care if I'm wearing sweats and a bun. Beauty fades people... I didn't get married for my husband or anyone else to expect me to look a certain way. I got married, because we love each other for our souls. That never fades.

my sister and i are in our twenties and i must say throughout my life i've never looked at my mother as letting herself go physically but mentally she did. we're fortunate enough that she didn't need to work so she stayed home with us and i appreciated that so much but now i wish she hadn't because shes at a point where shes kinda lost and i feel so bad. so now im determined to help her find her way like she did with me. no one should come down on a mother for letting herself go but i do think its important to have people in your life that can check you.

Loni, I love ya but Ima have to disagree with you here. As someone with depression, and having many people in my life with depression I think it's important to be able to acknowledge when somebody has "let themselves go". Because when the person starts to look dingy, has un brushed hair, and looks like they haven't showered, it is a sign of depression. So when I ask my friends if they're letting them selves go its not me asking are you getting lazy its me asking are you okay? do you need help? What can I do? However I do enjoy the serious topics from time to time I think it's important to discuss them and bring light to them. :)

I am loving every bit of my life, and more so because I am finding who I am again. my baby is my priority (I've shaved btw 😂😂) but everything is else, 😏😏 my baby is so beautiful and I keep her so well kept that I tend to forget to keep myself up too. hope to get myself back again, hopefully it won't take a year and half though 😅

I feel like adrienne is always kinda judging moms a bit. Like when tamara said she found herself after a year and a half she thought it is too much, or she criticizes tamara when she says she's too tired to have sex. Like... don't judge something you know nothing about. Have a couple of kids and then talk. Having kids is incredibly exhausting and on top working, taking care of a home, husband... its crazy. Tamara time is pretty accurate for me, it also takes me about a year to get back in my groove.

Tamera is so on point ,being married and having small children you will let your self go and not realize it #sameexperience but my husband is so supportive and loved me through it, you don't have time to be looking like the everybody else because it's a trend , you have to only do what you can and I always wear what I like not what's suppose to be in season or tending cause everything isn't for everybody , it erks me that everybody look alike because it's "fashion"
