Hey Casey, good to have you back, BOOSTED BOARD TSA ISSUE. Go to your local sporting good/gun store and pick up a hard plastic riffle case, cut out the foam to match the boosted board and just check it at the gate. Mine carries 2 boards as I fly between NY&Miami often and have also taken it to Europe with no issues👍

You Should be able to fly with the boosted board if you take the battery out. Depending on the wattage and capacity you might be able to carry the battery on with you or in the worst case you can just recycle it. But disposing of and replacing a battery is way cheaper than disposing of an entire boosted board... probably. Im just spitballing here tbh.

The board is not dangerous in and of itself. It's the battery that's attached that makes it potentially dangerous. That's why I suggested that he take the battery out, then when he gets back home to New York he can replace the battery. It costs less to replace a battery than it does to replace an entire board + battery. And since he would have taken the battery out there is no legal reason they can take the board from him.
