whoaa! This is plastic surgery level god. It makes me smile seeing how happy she looks after the surgery. Many criticize people for getting plastic surgery simply because they think they're overly shallow and fake. But there are some people who are born with defects like these that live depressed and have low self-esteem because of their looks, and plastic surgery really has a positive effect in their lives. I'm happy for this girl.

guys stop it. this show is for those who were born with facial and body defects or were inflicted with them later on in their life. there is this thing called depression and low self esteem, believe it or not it also comes from how you feel about your looks. if those plastic surgeries help those men and women to feel better with themselves, to be able to look in the mirror and finally feel good about themselves then who are you to judge?! this show gives opportunities for these people to have the look they want, to not feel awkward when going out in public and everyone looks at you because that is much much worse!! if you hate people staring at you then how do you think they feel?? no body here has the right to judge them because if they walked passed you in the street looking like they did before their plastic surgery, i guarantee that all of us including me will either say something awful or think it, and we would also have a very hard time not looking/staring. your opinions are rude and really inappropriate. she wanted it, she's happy with it, she likes it. end of story.

***** In my opinion, underbites/overbites should be considered a TRAIT not a defect. Underbites run in our family too, even i have it, and never corrected it with braces or whatever. Some of my cousins, went as far as wearing a helmet to prevent it from growing any further. It should not be labeled as a defect or a disorder just because majority of people doesn't have it. If it does not make you less of a human being - definitely not a defect. Just like ADHD, it's considered a behavioral disorder, but really it's just a trait. Some people are not like other people. Some people are hyperactive, or easily bored, some are not, some are short, some are tall, blah blah blah.

iErika Well based on your picture it does not look like you have an underbite. Even if you do, it's to such a minuscule scale it's barely noticeable. In the video, hers was definitely very severe. It wasn't just about looks at this point, she also had problems with eating. So it definitely was a facial defect.

She looks great and young, she deserves to be happy. Is very fortunate that the surgeons are so good, she looked very natural. She should find a husband that like her on the inside as well. Who is to say that the children will all take after all her DNA in looks. Is a very competitive work force in Korea- the employer will most likely take the better looking one if skills scores are the same.

I was in Seoul for a week a in 2012 and I was so surprised at how cavalier (I couldn't think of any other word for it) and rampant advertisements for plastic surgery clinics were all over the city. They had billboards on subway stations, ads plastered on buses and taxis, and even TV commercials. I spent a good five minutes watching a commercial for a lipo clinic on loop at the LED screens while waiting for the next train. I showed a picture of an advertisement to a Korean roommate of mine at the hostel and she explained that the clinic specialized in making women look like their favorite celebrities. It was weird because they had before and after pictures of the clients next to photos of celebrities and you can see a big similarity.

It is kind of sad though. I know, in every society, there are set standards on how a person should look like. blah blah blah... But the pressure is more apparent in Korea; hence, plastic surgeries. It is a sad truth that these standards push people such as the one in the vid. to change their entire face just to fit in and to be able to accept themselves.
