Great video as usual! I would like to point out that the pinch the finger thing had been around since the Apple Watch 6. You have to enable it in the accessibility settings. I was trying to figure out how that was a new feature.

I think because it was an accessibility function that you had to turn on before. Now it's built in without having to turn it on or off. haha still not something you'd likely want to upgrade for.

Double tap gesture (pinching) works on older watches like the series 4. I’ve got the 7 like you do and I’ve got it working.

You can turn on the double pinch under Accessibility on older watches. It may not work as smoothly a or be integrated into other apps, but it does work. And when I tried it, I was over it pretty quickly. Not a good reason to upgrade.

I agree on what you said about not using the functions that the ultra has. I have the ultra now and I don"t use any of those features, heck I don't even use the pinch gesture because half the time for me it doesn't work. Only reason why I got the ultra was for the bigger screen and thickness, that"s it. So yeah I'm not going to upgrade my watch ultra nor upgrade my 13 pro max for the new apple phone and watch. I'll upgrade eventually if they come out with a fold.. Highly doubt that they would jump in.

I got the 7 stainless steel 45mm back in 2021 its been fantastic i dont see any reason to upgrade this year still i found the apple watch series 9 and ulta 2 a bit underwhelming to be honest not that they are bad i just dont see spending out on them is a huge upgrade and the battery life on my 7 doesnt really make any difference as the fast charge is great
