this one was so fun and underrated game. the world in Rage 2 has its own feel to it, it is not as big as cyberpunk and not so deep into the story, but weapons, vehicle battles, suit and combat was amazing.

There are 5 trade towns. Wellsprings, Gun Barrel, Lagooney, Dreadwood up north and Oasis in the dune sea.

I loved this game I put 5 or 6 days into it the first time I played it, then I started a new game plus cause I got some dlc, the thing with the sword and skeletons . Put another day or so in, and am thinking of starting a totally fresh save. Anyway point is it was awesome and heavily under rated and I’d argue under promoted, if they would’ve been more clear about exactly what the game was and how deep the combat is and it would’ve done much better. Just my thoughts, glad to see a video on it. Honestly if you like shooters I think running through the movement and ability upgrades as you get new and awesome weapons periodically and absolute carnage along the way, I think it’s worth the average Id style shooter fan to run threw like just that base progression regardless of if they finish’s the story, I could do camps and those big ass Goliath things you find in the desert all day lol. Nothing like doom or even Wolfenstien 2 a.i. but on high difficulty it’s just tough enough to make you use your whole kit, which to me is what is supposed to happen, just some more thoughts i wanted to edit in, I really do love this game and there’s not much good KZbin coverage of it.

I feel like the marketing let this game down. It came out around a similar time of several other games with a similar style, and it was a sequel to a game that most people were fairly luke-warm on. They didn't do enough to sell it on its own merits.

Absolutely loved this game. Once you get all your abilities the combat is so diverse and fun especially with the pulse pounding music. The game rewards you for being aggressive and just driving around exploring and finding secrets and unlocking new cars and guns is awesome. I hated that Mutant Bash TV was essentially the same everytime after you did your first run but I would still run it to get all the skin unlocks. Great game! No regrets buying it day 1.

Yeah I feel like they made that same mistake with Mutant Bash TV as they did with the first game. They could have had like a chalice dungeon system or something like that to at least mix it up a bit and make it more worth going back to again and again.

I’m playing Rage 1 now! I remember playing it back when it first released what an underrated game gonna play Rage 2 next! My only issue with the series is that personally I had really hoped it would turn into a large scale series and an RPG because I really liked the aesthetics of the game more than fallout

I actually liked this game. Wanted to 100% it. The only thing I didn't like was the second DLC thing. That kinda bugged me.

I think the story and characters are not great. But I really enjoy the gameplay and open world is very satisfying

Honestly I had a prefrence for the first game finding I enjoyed the more gritty and realistic tone, will say the gunplay in this one is pretty good but I feel the game plays it way to safe and kinda makes the entire thing feel boring? I never really came back to the game after beating it cause there wasn't really much to do and what there is to do is just copy paste content. After watching your video I might be interested in re-installing the game (like I did with Vahalla by the way gonna watch your Odyesse video next and I hate Odyesse couldn't complete it cause the grind is ass.) Do hope you continue to work on this channel and I hope to see more coming from you!

I think it would be fair to say that Rage was made because they wanted to make something different, whereas Rage 2 was made with the intention of making something popular, if that makes sense. Thank you for your kind words, I genuinely appreciate it. Before you watch the Odyssey video just remember that I have extreme pro-Greece bias which may affect my opinion on the game...

It's a shame but I just couldn't get into this one. I was excited to play but after about 5-7 hours it didn't quite click. I think it a big part was that I've got a massive backlog of games to get through and I've got to really get sucked in right away. But I'm happy you enjoyed it. Great video breakdown too!

Played it, enjoyde it. I agree thai it could be better, especially vehiacle combat. Cool video :) Also, i loved that firestorm revolver. It was pretty usefull against them armored npcs.

Thanks 😊 To be fair my main issue with the revolver is that it requires good aim to be fully effective, which is probably why the shotgun was my favourite weapon...

I like this game a lot. Reviewers were not kind to it at all, and that really surprised me considering some of the overrated garbage we've seen over the years from the gaming industry. I don't think it's the best or anything, but if you like bombasting single player FPS games...then I think Rage 2 could definitely do it for you.

A fine video, Sir! Well done! I loved this game on X1X and respect that on that console they focused on 60hz and left resolution at 1080p so combat was fluid and absolutely joyous. But now years later on XSX and PS5 it’s still 1080p. Mad Max is too but they at least cranked that up to 120fps and I’m opposed to playing old games I love when the very wealthy dirt bags who own them won’t curate them and just leave them to rot. How difficult could it be to get Rage2 to 1440p or 4K on the newer consoles? Lazy f#€£$! And every so often I type this but have to look it up first to make sure it and yes, Ubisoft alone make 200 to 300 million euro per year from microtransactions. So let’s all just stop believing that hardcore gamers expressing outrage at this dirty practice could or even should ever “wake them up” and “make them see the light” Let’s just look at online shops like real shops and stop running in to them like an insane person yelling “How dare this shop sell sunglasses! You should only sell hats and give us everything else for free! Tch! Fourty bucks for a hat?? I’m not paying that! Close this shop down at once!” And let’s just don’t buy anything if we think it’s a con.

Put simply, Rage 2 is like Marmite (or Vegemite if your from the land down under).... You either like it, or you don't (But add Danny Dyer, Ozzy Man Reviews & Tim Kitzrow voices and it's a whole different wingstick game 👍🏻😜)

I have never played Rage, but it looked good. I strongly regret buying Rage 2. It is horrible (for a game with "id" on it.) I blame Avalance; Just Cause, judging by the second game and a demo of the first game, is a very overrated series. Rage 2 probably could have been patched into an okay or maybe even a good game, but it is subpar. All of the weapons felt weak, and that's very odd for a power-fantasy game. The driving is dreadful and only one vehicle is upgradable, and that's bad for an open-world game. The movement was boring, and that's a shame for an id game. The difficulty comes as increased damage output and health for the enemies, making the guns feel very weak (I did test the easiest difficulty, and the guns feel far better, but it's so easy.) It does tell you that you can use the ability to find the guns and abilities.

It was the same studio but a different team. I don't know why they didn't get the Mad Max team to do the driving, seems like a missed opportunity.
