As a European, hearing about Seventeen Magazine as a kid (in American media) I always assumed it was a magazine about teenagers, current stars, teen problems etc. We had similar magazines here and they were like my Bible. What a lovely lady. And, a very creative episode taking us back to a much better time in America. I enjoyed watching this given I remember much of the 70’s but came of age in the 80’s (the other amazing decade). I’m a bit surprised at the criticism, though. However true, whatever faults there are with the magazines of this decade, and the expectations it imposed on the teenage girls from that era…. In comparison to what’s happening to kids today, this magazine, even with it’s “faults” is as innocent as the wind-driven snow. And, that’s being EXTRAORDINARILY nice about it. But, I digress… I’m so grateful to have experienced memories from the late 70’s, and all of the 80’s. Given the state of America, and a musician, I find myself looking back, often. I can’t remember the last time i listened to music that wasn’t from the 70’s or 80’s. There was a depth, and realness to the music, and the analog recordings that was so authentic. Thanks you so much for sharing!

I love your professionalism but also your realism and authenticity with your audience. It’s completely understandable especially with social media/filmed projects to want to share a nice fresh version of things. I also think there’s a broad spectrum in the edited/filter world. I never mind some studio lighting and minor engagements to the picture quality. It’s when people completely filter and edit to the point of things being doll-like or just simply unrealistic/unrecognizable when in person that gets me. But I also respect that everyone is to each their own. There’s nothing WRONG with either approach it’s a preference. Plus, at the end of the day for me-it’s your heart and the way you treat people that matters most. You’re a beautiful woman inside and out and it shows! Thank you for your videos!

You are so beautiful, and your videos are incredibly relaxing. I think I watched one of your videos a while back and then life got away from me and I had unfortunately forgotten what it was, but I'm glad I've found you again and I'll be sure to subscribe this time. :) I've not been having many great days as of late so I had to pop in to say 'thank you' for calming me down. You seem so lovely. :D

This was lovely to sit through. I often feel nostalgic for my childhood in the mid-80s so this was a very sweet trip back in time. You are so beautiful with such a rich and soothing manner of speaking! This reminded me of a simpler time and relatives that left too soon. I wish I could go visit them for a cup of tea and learn from their wisdom and experience.

Hi Jeannie, I always love these flip throughs with you and 1976 I remember so well. It was a long hot summer here in the UK and as a 15 year old life was fantastic. Cheesecloth tops and bell bottoms (with a smiley patch on the bum pocket) that vivid blue or green shimmer eyeshadow, dr scholl wooden clogs and drooling over David Cassidy and Starsky ❤. I love that fashion trends come around again and the young are wearing platforms and flares and we get to wear them again too! As others have said you’re are brilliant role model for young women. Love from across the pond. 🫶🏻🙂🕺🪩

A wonderful trip back to my teenage years. I forgot how black and white and matt so many of the pages were and yes, I did believe that the models did look perfect. Thank you for this memory.
