The heart thing with the wife wasn't too unusual at the time (but probably more popular in the 1800s) in Europe. Lots of famous people or their families would often request the heart to be burried in a different place than the body. I've learned about so many historical figures that had it done to them that I never considered it might seem weird to anyone haha!

Very solid episode, if you’re ever planning to do another episode on idealistic and underprepared people who *spoilers* get themselves killed unnecessarily in the arctic; might I suggest the story of Christopher McCandless.

Cool balloon fact's: Salomon August Andree is the alternative universe version of Adolph Sax, possibly also a victim of time travel as suggested by the mysterious journal entry.

I'd honestly think a revisit to this topic of the golden age of polar exploration would be so cool. Aleks' mentioning of the story of the Lost Franklin Expedition would make for a legendary episode in itself. The story is unbelievably bleak.

Your voices do not match your portraits at all. I always assumed the deep voiced, less geeky one was the buzzcut dude that kind of looks like Phil Anselmo from Pantera, and the Hatsune Miku obsessed one was the dude with glasses. I literally can't imagine it the other way around. I MUST see what you two actually look like.
