as a manga reader, aqua x therapy is the only answer. he doesn't deserve anyone, especially kana, because she is a sunshine and deserves to be happy. kana is the best girl and aqua definitely doesn't deserve her.

aqua gets panic attacks when he has fun acting, so the only thing he can do is to basically trigger himself and use his ptsd to fuel his acting with hatred and pain. that way he can do emotional acting AND not get a panic attack... but it wont be a good time

Last season Kana's flashback towards the end basically showed her mom going back to her family home to care for Kana's grandparents, and she was like "you'll be fine, right?" because she can go to school and pay for her meals using her childhood celeb money (the money mentioned in ep 3). Idk, it kinda feels like she's avoiding having to own up to how she acted by just avoiding Kana now, but maybe I'm mixing in too much of a different anime childhood actor's mom.

It helps to remember that Aqua is also looking to avenge his own murder. Kana seems like she's from a different kind of story. She's a delightful ray of sunshine compared to the supernatural cursed reincarnated angst machine that are Aqua and to a lesser extent Ruby. Akane is a good foil for Kana if this story was one layer less complicated. They could have been a side story in Odd Taxi. While Aqua should be hanging out with Guts and the rest of the band of the hawk.

Each of the special scenes had a meaning. Melt practically kills himself chasing a star (he doesn't catch it). Akane shines with a fake star. Aqua and Ruby have one star. Kana becomes a sun that unleashes an entire star storm and has a whole galaxy in her eyes.

I think if we follow the idea that Akane's stars are “fake”, we risk saying that Ai's stars were also fake. They weren't. The stars in the characters' eyes represent a person's individual talent. Ai's talent was being a great liar, something that helped her become the best idol of her time. In Ruby's case, it represents her talent to be an idol without the need to lie, and for Aqua it's acting. Akane's talent is to be incredibly deductive and also to analyze characters, something that helps her to better embody them on stage. And finally, we have Kana when she let out her full potential (I don't want to take credit for this theory, but I saw it in other videos and thought it was great). The reason Kana's eyes have so many stars (some big, some small) is to show that her natural talent, to shine as bright as the sun, ended up combining with the talent she later had to develop to save her career: adapting her acting to others, and becoming the kind of character the directors and producers needed: the main character (big stars), a supporting character, or a stage tool (smaller stars).

Also Kana star eyes is different & she doesn't have any star eyes like the others bec she's not a liar. Kaburagi also said she's a real deal bec she doesn't have to fake her charisma or personality like Ai or Akane to sell herself as an artist.
