What is this about? It's basically smarter version of Among Us. I strongly encourage you to do this regularly on stream, it will be really fun to guess the impostor, your POV will be on one of the crew. The storyline is really good too. Is this anime or game? - Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (game and anime tell the same story but the game is much better) - Danganronpa 2 (game only) - Danganronpa 2.5 (OVA) - Ultra Despair Girls (game only) - Danganronpa 3 Future and Despair arcs (anime only. watch Future ep 1, then Despair ep 1, then Future ep 2, then Despair ep 2, etc.) - Danganronpa 3 Hope Arc (anime only) - Danganronpa V3 (game only) Should you worry about the ban thing? No, it only banned on Korea.

There's no sex in Danganronpa, but some of the deaths are pretty brutal. The game is, in most cases, a Visual Novel, where you act as a detective to discover wtf is going on. The first entry of the series, Danganronpa, was adapted into an anime. The second entry, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, was not adapted and exists only as a game, continuing the story for the first one. The third entry, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy, on the other hand, exist only as an anime. It is split into two series: Danganronpa Side: Despair and Danganronpa Side: Truth, meant to be watched 1 episode of despair, 1 of truth, alternating between, ending with the movie Danganronpa Side: Hope. In between 2 and 3, there's a spin-off game (but cannon, and important for DR3) called Danganronpa 2.5 Another Episode. A Light Novel prequel to Danganronpa was also created, called Danganronpa Zero (with no anime adaptations). Finally, there's the last game: Danganronpa V3 (which may or may not be related to the previous games/animes, but I can't go into details without spoiling it). This last game, again, has no anime adaptation. That being said, the Danganronpa franchise is super popular and extremely good, if you have the time to invest on it, given each game takes around 50 hours to clear...

Danganronpa is a game series, it's very good. There's an anime based in the first game, that's the first opening you watched, then there's Danganronpa 3 that are the next two which follow after the story of Danganronpa 2 and Ultra Despair Girls (games). Then there's a third game called Danganronpa V3. They don't have s*x in them, but they do have pretty suggestive scenes and dark themes, especially Ultra Despair Girls!

So, basically, Danganronpa started as a game Then, the first game got an Anime, which is the first Opening you saw Then you have Danganronpa 2, and Danganronpa Another Episode, which are games without an anime And then, the creator of the game thought that telling the finale in game form would not work, so he decided to make Danganronpa 3 an anime only Those are the other two openings you saw (There is also a game called Danganronpa V3, but it has a different story) So yeah, thats the short explanation As for the different versions, there are small changes because certain things get revealed and the openings change to reflect that, so yeah, if you have watched the anime, you can spot the slight changes in each version, but if you never saw it, then its just gonna look the same, so dont worry about it

Starting with the 1st episode of the future arc you have to watch them in turns (f1, d1, f2, d2...). Once you reach the end of those, you watch the "special hope episode") -Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (last game and the end of the story)

Kubikiri Cycle, the first entry in the Zaregoto series from Monogatari author Nisioisin is actually quite similar to danganronpa, enough so that those who have read the book and watched the later adaptation wonder if danganronpa is directly inspired by it ( there is no specific evidence for this though). Kubikiri cycle follows a group of genius ultimates on an isolated island mansion when they start to get killed. They must then figure out which one of them is the killer. They have round table discussions to determine who the killer is after every murder, and the story is told from the perspective of the one person who is not a genius ultimate.

@DLAlucardАй бұрын
Firstly ignore the 'banned' bs. it's only banned in South Korea as far as I'm aware. Well to answer your question, its games, animes and a series of light novels. The Danganronpa games are fantastic. They're visual novels, but not like you'd expect. The main aim is to unravel mysterious and then present you're deductions with other characters in verbal sparring matches. The system of which can be wonderfully in-depth as the series goes on. The story follows a group of students from Japan's premier high school, Hope's Peak academy. A place said to forge the future of the country. The only requirement for entry being the Ultimate at something. Cooking, fashion design, writing, baseball and so on. However the first day for a new class of elites turns weird as they awake within the school building. Sealed inside with no knowledge of why or how it happened. How that spins off into everything else I'll leave a mystery. There is also a spin-off game called Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. Thats more of an action adventure game played from a third person perspective. It takes place between the first and second games. Personally I wouldn't bother playing Danganronpa V3 for reasons I won't spoil. Just know it wasn't well received by the fandom and kind of soured things since it was the last game made technically. There was a game after it, but it was just a celebration of the series as a whole and put all the characters living or dead in one game for non-canon fun. Now the first anime, called Danganronpa The Animation, follows the events of the first game. It's fairly alright, but can feel like it has some pacing issues. Overall its still a fun watch. Just know the game is better. The 'second and third' anime are... Annoying to watch. See they are called Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School. One is called Hope Arc and the other is called Despair arc. The gimmick is that you're meant to watch them in alternating order. So episode 1 of Hope arc, then Episode 1 of Despair. Ep 2 Hope, Ep 2 Dispair. So on and so forth until you reach the end. Annoying I'm sure you'll agree, but overall a very fun experience. However you should play the second game before watching that anime. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, you missed all the game intro animations. The video titled All Danganronpa Game Openings by Aridyne has them all in good quality. You should react to that next time. There isn't singing, but the beats are bangers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes please. Absolutely do more Touhou. I haven't suggested any in a while because I didn't want to feel like I was pestering. Possible others were doing the same. Some songs to look at: Infinite World by Sound Holic. Grip & Break down!! (The music video can be found on Reddevils500a's channel) Convictor Yamaxanadu! (MarisaHanamura's channel has a good version of this.) Chen's Gensokyo (Look for the one on Kirbologist's channel. It has English subs.) Club Ibuki in Break All (Look for S.A.A.N. - San Antonio Anime Network. That channel has one with English subs baked in.) Just a reminder. You also wanted to get into the lore of the games at some point. Well I suggested a while back to watch a video by AspreyFM called 'What is Touhou? A Brief Introduction.' It's a good place to start. Since it not only explains the games, but about the person behind them and its expanded fandom works. So should give you a great picture for what you're getting into and might even get you into watching some lore videos.

Okayyyyyy so, it's..... complicated Danganronpa is originally a visual novel (so basically, a video game), there's 3 visual novel games, 1 "action" game and 2-3 animes in the main series. The watch order is : - Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc : The first visual novel in the serie, Opening : kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYnbnZtvgcmeitk --> It got animated in Danganronpa The Animation, the first opening in the playlist you've watched, in 13 episodes - Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair : The second visual novel, it got two different openings kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipyQd5msaslgoKs and kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2WXm6uehpmXnbc - Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls : the kinda "action" game/spin-off in the series, Opening : kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXuapJpuqLmnprc - Danganronpa 3 : The End of Kibougamine Gakuen: So, it's the part when it becomes complicated : it's 2 sides of the same anime, with Side Future (In 12 episodes, the last opening you've watched) and Side Despair (In 11 episodes, the middle opening) ; to understand it, you must watch with first, EP01 of Future, then EP01 of Despair, then EP02 of Future, and on and on.... to finish on with EP12 of Future and finally the episode of Side Hope (witch really is EP12 of Despair kinda) : there's also an OAV called "Super Danganronpa 2.5: Komaeda Nagito to Sekai no Hakaimono" that you can watched before or after the episode of Side Hope. - Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony : Finally, the last visual novel in the series, Opening : kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4W5gKiiaJJkic0 The openings you've missed are mostly the same melody, it's the visuals that changed depending on the game. I know this comment is reaaaally long but if it can help someone understand how to watch Danganronpa, I'm always happy to help ! The later anime are apparently not an adaptation but part of the story, as this ended up being a multi-media project so those should be good to check out but in right order probably, as a lot of people in the comments advice)

To say I was excited and happy when I saw you reacted to this is an understatement! Although I missed the vote last time, I was asking for it before and HERE IT IS!! Danganronpa is a visual novel game that also has animes! I absolutely LOVE Danganronpa and my favorite character of all time is apart of this series LOL. Danganronpa is basically a game/anime that involves around high school students that are forced into a "killing game", and that's all I'll say because it's...very spoiler heavy "Is the bear the mastermind?" Oh man...you aren't even ready for the whole "mastermind" discussion! Danganronpa was leased in 2010, so you got a LOT of catching up to do! The first game is "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc". The second game is "Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair" (2012) Theres a spinoff game called "Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls" (2015) which isn't a visual novel and is more like Persona in a way, however, this game is EXTREMELY DARK, so take caution. There are also three animes: Danganronpa the Animation, Danganronpa 3: Future/Despair arc, and Danganronpa 2.5 (all 2016)! Then the last game is called "Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony" (2017) which is probably the most gruesome and mind boggling of the whole series! You would play/watch the series in this order: Trigger Happy Havoc, Goodbye Despair, Ultra Despair Girls, Danganronpa 3: Future and Despair arc (switching between episodes each arc as the two arcs are connected, you would start with Future Arc ep 1, then go to Despair Arc ep 1), and lastly, V3: Killing Harmony It seems very complicated, but it's not and it's totally worth it! Here are the openings you've missed. FYI, they're all from the games, so it's more of character introductions and OST than an actual opening: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc opening: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYnbnZtvgcmeitk Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair opening 1: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipyQd5msaslgoKs Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair opening 2: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2WXm6uehpmXnbc Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXuapJpuqLmnprc Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4W5gKiiaJJkic2Ihere are also three animes: Danganronpa the Animation, Danganronpa 3: Future/Despair arc, and Danganronpa 2.5 (all 2016)!

Danganronpa 1 and 2 are games, then Danganronpa 3 anime you saw finish the storyline those games had (there’s a spin-off game called Ultra Despair Girls as well that takes place in that storyline before the Danganronpa 3 anime). The Danganronpa Anime is an adaptation of the first game. Then there’s another game called Danganronpa V3 that does not take place in the same universe as the other games but has the same gameplay. The series also also has many side stories that were written to expand the world.

As someone who knows it all, I can say without spoiling that the 2 chronogical story orders of experiencing Danganronpa are: 1. Anime only way (no buying games): "Danganonpa: The Animation", "Despair Arc", "Future Arc", "Danganronpa 2.5" and "Hope Arc". The other ways depend on your comfort, but know that overall the best first step is playing "Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc", and if you get to like this franchise - try to stay on the chronology of the point 1 (especially if recording).

It's a anime based on a game. It's a visual novel type game where students are locked in a school and are forced to kill each other if they want to escape. They then hold trials and use clues to figure out who the murderer is. If they guess right only the murderer dies, but if they choose wrong everyone else dies and the murderer gets set free.

Danganronpa [Summary Without Spoilers] Damganronpa is a visual novel which first got adapted into a video game and then later got an anime adaptation . Its anime has 2 seasons with season 1 having 13 episodes and season 2 is in two parts with a total of 24 episodes . Though in anime adaptation they adapted first game and Danganronpa 3 (Basically skipped the second part of the game\story) . There are multiple games of this which also have some side stories too . btw both the games and anime censor the blood by changing it to color pink . The story is mystery-survival based and is really brutal . There are actually compilations in KZbin regarding the brutality in games (They made it look a bit cartoonish but the brutality scenes are still disturbing . The story basically focuses on a group of students who join this one school called Hope's Peak Academy , which is a school made for getting the most talented children from across the globe known as Ultimates or Super High School Level in at least one thing in life . For example a Super High School Baseball Player etc . The story begins with Makoto Naegi the only boy who just got lucky as the school was offering one lucky student to join and he won that and was able to join while having no special talent . The story begins as multiple students out of know where just wake up in their classroom and when they get up and see their surrounding they realize EVERYTHING has been fully closed shut and there is no escape route . Gathering in the schools stage hall (or gym hall I think) The students are welcomed by a small bear looking thing calling itself the president of this school and it asks them to play a game which involves killing each other without getting found out . Btw I personally first watched the anime and then tried the games and personally I think anime did much MUCH better job with mysteries and the intensity but games felt a bit too slow and too predictable . If they would have adapted the anime fully with no blood censorship I think it would have been much more popular .

Danganronpa is a Brutal Survival Detective Visual Novel game where you play as one of 16 Ultimates that are being forced be in a Killing Game, with the Mastermind being one of the 16(never the character you control) who is using a Murder Bear known as Monokuma as a proxy. There's also a mode in each of the three games which is pretty much a dating simulator where you get to understand the characters more. There is a spin off game known as Ultra Despair Girls which is a third person game where you play as the sister of the first game's Protagonist. And the whole point of UDG is to connect the first two games together. There are two animes. The first being an adaption of the first game. The second following up on the ending of the second game. The first person that I know of to do a LP of Danganronpa is Nicob, he does adlibs and voices, who played a rough translation of the first game that made him laugh. His LPs were the first exposure to the series for a lot of people, me included. Plus, there's a team making a fangame known as Nicoronpa.

Danganronpa is a hybrid anime/game franchise. Its basis is a game, but several anime series provide conclusions and expansions to the story. The essence of the story is that a group of very talented young people are locked in a secluded school. Here, the strange bear you noticed, Monokuma, tells them that they will be trapped here for the rest of their lives unless they follow the rules. The game goes as follows: If someone commits a murder, that person can leave if the others do not figure out who the culprit is. But if they do find out, Monokuma will execute the murderer. If the other students can't figure out who the murderer is, everyone except the murderer will die. That’s the basic setup. However, the story quickly becomes much more complicated. Why are they locked up? Who locked them in? What is outside? And many other interesting questions. By the way, I think you would like this franchise. It’s a great mix of crime and horror elements, but it can also be quite humorous. It's also quite interesting how the story should be consumed in order: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (game), which is adapted into the first season of Danganronpa. (The game is better as it provides a more detailed story.) Danganronpa 2 (game) Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (game) Danganronpa 3: Future and Despair Arcs (this is an anime, and surprisingly, you need to alternate between the episodes of the two seasons. It sounds strange, but it’s a very well-executed step.) Danganronpa V3 (game) If you want to react to the openings of the games, I'll compile a list here in the comments: Danganrompa 1 Opening: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYnbnZtvgcmeitksi=tmbju88bOzNYsbPS Danganrompa 2 Opening 1: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipyQd5msaslgoKssi=3j4C6YzuPEbfq3Mu Danganrompa 2 Opening 2: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2WXm6uehpmXnbcsi=bjlnDvlFtvUaEnuk Danganrompa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXuapJpuqLmnprcsi=Y7Q6G8shjbyw3pcB Danganrompa V3 Opening: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4W5gKiiaJJkic0si=jUUeoEthHDZyoGQu And here is a fan video that introduces the game characters without spoilers kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZPQqXqJbdGspqMsi=Ln0ZJWI5mn4w4bLY

its primarily a game series though an anime adaptation was made of the first one, theres also a continuation of the story from the first 2 games with danganronpa 3 the anime (future and despair arcs) which confuses some as there was never an anime made of the second, meanwhile the anime of danganronpa 3 and the game danganronpa V3 are two very differnt storys with differnt characters. another somewhat confusing aspect of the danganronpa 3 anime is the way its intended to be watched, as i mentioned earlier it has 2 arcs future and despair however whats unique is that you have to watch them concurently as one provides context for the other. for example you watch episode 1 of future then you watch episode 1 of despair, then episode 2 of future ect. its hard to explain exactly why this was done and how they interact with eachother without spoiling the stories but its a cool and unique concept. for anyone interested the best way to experience the games/anime is danganronpa 1 (game), danganronpa 2, the spin off "ultra despair girls" game, danganronpa 3 the anime, then finally danganronpa V3 the game

The game timeline is: 1. Danganronpa Trigger happy havoc. (This game has an anime) 2. Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair. (This one didn't get an anime, the opening you found is the opening of the game) 3. Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls or Danganronpa 1.5 (Is a spin off that happens between Danganronpa 1 and 2, I recommend playing it if you're into knowing lore) 4. Danganronpa 3 The end of Hope's peak academy Future arc (FA) and Despair arc (DA). Here it gets complicated, FA and DA are different animes that you have to see at the same time to watch it correctly, and by that I mean, you have to watch episode 1 of FA then episode 1 of DA and then ep 2 of FA.... and etc; this is an anime canon for the storyline, there's no game of this. 5. After watching FA and DA you can watch the OVA Danganronpa 3 Hope arc, which is the end of the series. 6. Danganronpa V3 Killing Harmony. This one is a completely different game, it doesn't have anything to do with the original storyline (Save for a few obligatory references). I recommend playing it after playing the others but you can play this whatever you want.

The games are so good! The concept is 16 people are trapped in a location and forced to murder each other to escape. If the murderer gets caught they are executed - if not everyone outside of the killer is executed instead and the murderer can leave. So basically the goal is to survive and find a way to escape the killing game, by solving all of the game's mysteries. I really wish I could experience these games for the first time again but unfortunately I've beaten all of them multiple times.

Okay so I'm pretty sure some other people explained but here are some points: -Danganronpa is originally a video game (and it's my favorite videogame btw), and has been adaptated into an anime (not every opus of the game tho) -These were the anime's openings, not the games one -Like you said, the differents versions of the opening didn't feel like anything changed, but actually you can notice little details in the clip, mostly little little spoilers that you can't find if you don't know Danganronpa (It like the meme "Those who don't know 🙂 VS Those you know😦") -The ban is only in Korea from what I know -The story is a bit hard to explain, the order if you wan't to play/watch it is even harder so I'll let someone else explain lol, but basically It's a mix between Among Us and Ace Attorney, you resolve murder cases, in a dark and oppressive athmosphere, but there is actually also a lot of humor and (that's why it said "sexual") some jokes that wouldn't be valid anymore if the game was released nowadays -play Danganronpa -Seriously, play Danganronpa

Danganronpa 1 is a game about a class of talented students being forced into a killing game in a completely closed school: Whenever one of them kill another, a trial happens, if the murderer is found, they get punished, if not, everyone else gets punished. Only the remaining student wins. And the bear is running that show. It got adapted into an anime. DR2 is about another class like the first one, but on an island resort. Dr Ultra Girls follows the sister of the DR1 MC DR3 is an anime in two parts: Hope and Despair. One tells what caused everything, the other tells how some of the first cast is dealing with the aftermath of basically everything. And there was a special episode, Future, to reunite and conclude both sides and the overall plot. Until V3 comes around, with the same basis as DR1, but in another school and another class, and *really* ends it all. There's also a sorta Mario Party kind of Danganronpa game, but afaik, it's not canon, and more fan service ala Smash Ultimate's 'Everyone is here!'. And when I say fanservice, I mean that the setting is the island resort, with beach outfits of course.

So Danganronpa is mainly a game series, but has some tie in anime and novels. But for the main story: Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc (Game) is about 15 students trapped in a school and forced to kill each other in order to escape. Danganronpa 2 (Game) is about 16 students trapped on an island and forced to kill each other in order to escape. Danganronpa Another: Ultra Despair Girls (Game) is technically considered a spin-off, but is important to the story and shows the events of other characters between 1 and 2. Danganronpa 3 (Anime) comes in 2 parts, the Despair Saga showing what happens before the games, and the Future Saga + Hope Saga which shows what happens after. And then Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (Game) happens sometime in the future after the others and has 16 students trapped in a school (a different one) and are forced to kill each other in order to escape. And there are novels but only if you're into lore like backstories, side stories or what-if scenarios. There not integral. Oh, and Danganronpa The Animation (Anime) is a shortened retelling of Danganronpa THH.

Danganronpa is about like 16 school students that possess some sort of ultimate skill, their ultimate skill could be something like “The Ultimate Chef” or “The ultimate gamer” which is what makes them special because they are individually the best person of their skill. Anyway, they are forcefully put into a murder mystery/ace attorney type game where the evil bear “monokuma” forces the studentsbto kill eachother. And whenever someone dies and gets discovered. They have to try and figure out who killed that person and basically if u find out who the person is they get punished aka they die and the game continues or if u pick the wrong person everyone dies and the killer goes free. It isnt just 1 killer. Any of the students can kill. Yeah danganronpa is a very VERY dark franchise Gore,Manipulation,death pretty much everything bad. And all the games are just the definition of “Eerie” It also has some of the most creative deaths of any franchise out there. Play the games first. That is the only rule. Play the games and watch the animes after Btw danganronpa is like around 10-15 years old U can pin this if u want

I will only say the begining of the first: Makoto Neagi is accepted in the Hope's peak academy, an high school were only person who have an excellent ability in some domain are accepted. he was choose at random from all student to become the Ultimate Lucky Student. as he was in front of the door, evrything turned black and he awake, alone, in a classroom where all windows have been covered...

Very quickly, before I watch the vid, Danganronpa is a game series with a HORRIBLE adaptation of the 1 game (Trigger Happy Havoc) and a divisive anime about stuff before and after the 2 game (Goodbye Despair). So if you're interested in exploring the series the following order is recommended: DR (Danganronpa) THH, THH anime, but only if you want to, DR 2, Ultra Despair Girls (it's not that important to the overall plot, so you can skip it), DR 3 anime (lots of fans hate it and it did some things poorly, but I still love it for the good parts it has) and the 2.5 OVA and finally DRV3. Basically it's mainly a game series, but I think that it would still fit your channel if you played it.
@戸沢アヒルАй бұрын
Omg, Danganronpa! I love it! And I can understand that you are confused. So, it is (originally) a game series, but there are also Anime, and what you watched where the Anime openings. There is Danganronpa The Animation (1. video you watched), which is basically the 1st game in a nutshell. So don't watch it! The games are awesome! If you are a fan of story driven visual novels. But Danganronpa has a lot (more) game play than usual VNs. But it still has A LOT of text. So... I know, that's not for everyone, but... I love it. It's really amazing. (Do you know Ace Attorney? Very similar [game play wise], but DR is A LOT darker. I'm a huge fan of both though.) It's pretty violent - there isn't any sex in the game though. Not even really sex themes (unless you count the optional bathroom scene and some scenes with a certain character in the 2nd game - but it's by far not as bad as AI: The Somnium Files... a very similar game, and also one I'd recommend, if you are into story driven detective games). Update: As I read through some comments, yeah, I totally forgot about those scenes in UDG - but as they wrote, nothing is explicitly shown. I also don't think the games are banned. (Except the 3rd game seems to be banned in Korea. What a shame.) So, there are 3 main games (1. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, 2. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and 3. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony) and one spin-of game (Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls) that is (kind of) a mixture between a visual novel and a shooting game. (But it has huge spoilers for 1 and some spoilers for 2, so...) And then there is the Anime "Danganronpa 3", which is divided in the Despair Arc and the Future Arc. That's the other 2 videos you watched. Timewise this Anime takes place after Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. You probably noticed, there is a lot of despair (this bear? - yes.). That's the main theme. (Not sure if that was really Kodaka's intention, but) I feel like the games are made to make the player fall into despair (and love it). Oh, and I would love if you reacted to the game openings. There is a video (I think it's the one you found) "All Danganronpa Game Openings" that is 7:57 minutes long and covers all game openings. (There is also "Danganronpa: All Game Openings 2017" which is 9:14 minutes long and covers one more video [the V3 opening movie] - but it's the same song/melody as the 1st one and even though the animation/graphics are awesome, I feel like they are a bit spoilery, so I'm not sure if you should watch it or not...)

the gameplay loop looks like this in general: you will have some more or less peaceful day/night time where the characters explore their situation and whatever stressors their current situation entails, some time where you can learn a bit of the characters backstory, and then sudenly you will find a body. then investigation time where you collect clues. After that there is a class trial where the case is being discussed. It uses a system called truth bullets to cut through characters lies and there are some minigames and the like to solve the case. not sure if it counts as spoiler from here on so: SPOILER ALERT BELOW! In this class trial the characters need to guess who done the murder. If they get it right the culprit gets executed in a cruel way. If they guess wrong the culprit gets to leave while everyone else gets executed.

Danganronpa is a multimedia series. It's mostly a game series, but it has some canon anime. The order you'd go through the series is Danganronpa 1 & 2(games), Danganronpa 2.5, Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls(game), Danganronpa 3(anime, that I'll get back to in a minute), then Danganronpa V3(game). *2.5 and UDG could be switched, and you could technically watch the first half of 3 before any of the games, but I wouldn't recommend it* The first game has an anime adaptation that is acceptable, but if you want 100% of the story, you'd want to play the game(I watched the anime, then jumped into the 2nd game just fine, but I'm sure I missed some cool character interactions by not playing the game the first time around). Danganronpa 2 is only a game(and a manga, I believe, but stick to the game). Ultra Despair Girls is also just a game, and is technically a Spinoff, but just like Kingdom Hearts, it's important to the overarching plot. Danganronpa 2.5 is an Anime Special. There is no Game for Danganronpa 3. 3 is purely an anime that is split into 2 Parts "Despair" & "Future Arc". The weird but kinda cool thing with it is that you are technically supposed to switch between the 2 Arcs after every Episode. You can just watch them individually if you want, but the last Episode of the Future Arc is part of the Despair Arc, so it'll make absolutely no sense if you don't skip over that Episode until later(I didn't know this tidbit when I watched it, so it kinda messed with my head a bit). Danganronpa V3 is not to be confused with Danganronpa 3. It's the third Mainline Game, but it's not called 3 for a reason explained in the game itself that'd be a spoiler if told beforehand(plus 3 was already taken by the anime, so they kinda had to makeup a reason). The series is good, but kinda hard to follow if you don't pay attention 😅

Danganronpa is a visual novel that got turned into an anime. Like many adaptations, it does trim out some of the details such as characters forming friendships, learning about characters' backstories, the building and releasing of tension, so it's difficult for me to recommend to anime unless someone is certain that they would never justify sitting down for the game. A reaction to Marble Machine by Wintergatan would be dope.

I really like this anime its a little bit confusing at first cause maybe its a game but the story is so good its like the game among us which makes you guess who is the killer but later on you will know that its more than that. Also one of my fav antagonist Junko Enoshima what a true villain. Nowadays some villains have a backstory that we somehow understand why they became like that and what they want to achieve but here we have an antogonist who just like to be a villain cause its more fun and to ease boredom 😅

Danganronpa is a game series that had gotten some anime adaptations. Main character along with several students are trapped in a school and forced to kill to survive. It's a mystery series and the protagonist have to figure out who commited a murder (via investigation) and prove it (in a trial) lest everyone dies. You like mysteries, right? Play the games! They're pretty popular so they must be real good (I've only watched the first anime adaptation so I can't comment on the games). They have some fanservice from what I've seen though but mostly murder lol. Anyways, also check out another mystery game turned anime: Ace Attorney. Danganronpa (Dan-gan-ron-pa) is a game with an anime based on it, I watched the anime and never played the game. There is also a season 2 which is a prequal and a season 3 which is a continuation from season 1. I don't remember much of season 2 or 3 other than I didn't enjoy them as much as season 1.

So how it works is Danganronpa is original a visual novel game series following the mystery/thriller genre D1 has been adapted into an anime later on D2 is a sequel to D1 D3 is an anime only sequel to conclude D1 and D2, with 2 plotlines, each plot meant to be watched in unison (so ep 1 hope, ep 1 dispair, ep2 hope, ep 2 dispair etc) Then D V3 is a seperate game that has nothing to do with the rest story wise, but is connected Lastly there is ultra despair girls, wich is a spinoff playing inbetween 1 and 2 I highly recommend playing the games since these are awsome Btw these games are not banned, they are still available via steam

For a better understanding of the timeline, you should just watch from Danganronpa : The Animation > Danganronpa 3 Despair Arc > Danganronpa 3 Future Chapter > Danganronpa 3 Hope Arc. The adaptation of Super Danganronpa 2 was somehow just turned into Danganronpa 3 Despair Arc for some reason , they just simultaneously release Danganronpa 3 Future and Danganronpa 3 Despair in the same week of 2016. Fun Fact : Both Danganronpa 3 anime was meant to be watched 1 episode each, i.e you watch future first and then despair, then go back to future; because this is how the show keeping its tension and slowly reveal the unanswered mystery of the story
