I think the servo saver holds up pretty well on mine and are pretty cheap to replace. I would recommend getting a bigger bumper like the rpm one. It looks kinda goofy with the big bumper but it will protect the wheels up front a little better when nose diving into the ground considering the stock one doesn't even protect anything up front. I also always carry a extra servo saver.

Yeah it doesn’t have much of a front bumper does it…..maybe I’ll have to look into that…thanks!

Traxxas 2wd cars are made very cheaply. I have a Losi 25tooth servo arm on my slash and rustler. But for the stampede you have to use servo savers because there is no steering bellcrank or rack. The toe links just connect directly to the servo saver instead of a bellcrank. Hot racing makes a heavy duty aluminum servo saver. There is also a Kimbrough plastic one. Also for the front bumper. The front bumper on the Stampede, Rustler and Bandit aren't really a bumper. I recommend the RPM bumper for more protection in the front.
@bombpoprc20232 жыл бұрын
I also recommend the aluminum adjustable camber and toe links from traxxas. They hold up good and way more better than the flimsy plastic ones. RPM arms are a must. I broke alot of castor blocks with my cars so aluminum ones will be good for durability. I recommend the Atomik rc aluminum castor blocks and steering blocks. They are half the price of the traxxas ones and more adjustability and tuning. The atomik brand could be found on amazon.

Basically upgrade everything with steering and suspension and it will be all good to go. Thats what I did with my rustler and slash.

I never seen a servo saver bust like that. You need a good BRUSHED motor. On a budget build you already own the speed control. Just can't go below 15 turn 540 motor on the xl5 speed control. I would recommend a good 27 turn motor. It should be around $15-35, unless u buy a handwond. I think u can go up to a 30turn on the esc. Put in a good 7 cell battery and have fun
