Amazing headway on getting Poem shipshape but the story of the gentleman's unfortunate decision to travel by the ill fated voyage of the ship Titanic. Always interesting to see how history was changed by a single event. As always enjoy your restoration projects and here's a toast to Lloyd and Alfie in their future adventures.

Sitting here in Louisiana, wearing my M/V Geordie T-shirt (Thanks Peter), I'm constantly amazed at the quality of your work. I plan to use what I learned from this channel to rebuild my future boat. Till then, I'll live vicariously through this channel. Cheers!

I laughed at the comment that sails are the 2nd engine and cost almost as much. True words for either a boat or small ship. My dad was a cabinet maker and I love watching your beautiful woodworking skills bring Poem back to original glory.

Wow another fantastic build Peter! For the faucet tap you could just rotate the handle a full 90* so the controls are centered over the sink and facing you, rather than off to the side

In Dutch the words Ship and Boat differ in an other way that in English. In Dutch, your can only your own Vessel a 'Boat'. The Vessel of someone else is always a Ship (Schip) or if is it really to small to be a Ship, you have to use the form of a Small Ship (Scheepje).

@Jarom.M Жыл бұрын
I know that it is a little late, but my thought would be to put the tap in the port, aft corner of the sink and set at a 45 degree angle. You have room for the tap handle at full hot, room to move it out of the way to the aft section of the sink, and enough room (with this tap) to reach the whole sink. As a bonus, you can easily fill a pot sitting on the counter for cooking. It is very unconventional, though. Speaking of the galley, are you concerned with the screws in the end grain of the plywood? I'd be concerned that they'd pull out over time.
@williamconway1287 Жыл бұрын
Hello Peter , I have a question. Is the handle on the water faucet removable ? If so all you need to do is remove it , cut down the straight piece , use a belt sander to remove the sharp edge ,and screw the handle back in .
