If you have a haste enabler, the rottenmouth viper is absolutely devastating with Isshin. each opponent has to choose to lose 4 life, discard a card, or sacrifice a permanent SIX times on the first attack + ETB and then NINE times if they let it come back to you with it on board.

This is awesome, im looking into getting into magic with my friends and your videos have really helped me understand how I should be balancing for consistency. Also very relaxing voice, keep it up!

It's interesting that I run half of the cards you mentioned in my caesar deck. Anim pakal is a cheap great addition to this deck aswell as I find filter lands a pretty budget and enter untapped alternative to those surveil and basic land type requiring lands.

I'd argue that Anim Pakal is better than Krenko too. Doesnt have to attack to get the benefit.

Isshin’s been my main commander since Neon Dynasty came out, so this was helpful to see the newer cards worth running. That being said, I’d like to see a deck list that isn’t full of cEDH staples. This one seems to just go for high power cards rather than actually sticking to the attack synergy. Some notes I have after running multiple versions of this deck for two years (and playing almost exclusively Mardu commanders for a decade): -You forgot Savai Triome for the land package, and I’d swap Generous Gift for Stroke of Midnight. It’s strictly better since the opponent only gets a 1/1 instead of a 3/3. -I’d swap Blasphemous Act and Final Showdown for Toxic Deluge and Ruinous Ultimatum. The Ultimatum will set you far enough ahead that you’re pretty much guaranteed to win, and Deluge will get around those pesky indestructible creatures. -I’d lose Inferno Titan. He’s just too expensive for the payoff, even if it doubles twice. This deck needs to move quicker to outpace opponents, and Inferno just lags behind. Tectonic Giant, coming in at just 4 mana, has won games for me before. -Archon of Cruelty is also worth looking at if you want a super mean bomb to drop on the board (though do mind your mana production). -Myrel, Shield of Argive does WORK in combat, and keeps our opponents from countering creatures that we’ll cast on our turn. -Mishra, Claimed by Gix is SO mean, and coming out on turn 3 brings your opponents down super quick. The best part: he doesn’t need to attack for his ability to go off. If you stack him with a token generator like Krenko, Myrel, or Adeline, you can dish out some serious damage. -Legion Loyalty is fun. It’s not the most consistent due to its high mana cost, but it’s an honorable mention. Do be careful when running it though, because if you’ve got a bunch of legendaries on board it’s kinda worthless. -Sword of the Animist and/or Bitterthorn is an absolute MUST in most Isshin builds. Obviously, with only 9x basics in this list, it makes less sense, but in a list running closer to 15-20 basics, it’s an auto include and worth mentioning.

Thanks for the suggestions! I prefer Generous Gift over Stoke of Midnight because I can take out a land when needed. It's not something that comes up often, but it does happen. But I do like the rest of your suggestions! I always pay attention to people who have built a specific commander and tuned it over years.

This just seems like a very generic high value Mardu deck, not really an Isshin deck. Some of the cards dont synergize as well as you'd think and some auto includes like Anim Pakal seem to be missing. Nothing wrong with it per se, but there's too little attack value and too many generic goodstuff
