A fun budget card that can take advantage of the blood tokens you make via saccing an angel is Veil of Assimilation. If you're saccing an angel with 4+ toughness, suddenly you can attack in the air with a 10+ vigilance Shilgengar!

I like using Palantir of Orthanc in this deck because it's a win-win situation for you. You either get to draw an extra card every turn or you're putting big boi angels in your graveyard and dealing damage to an opponent equal to each of their mana value which you can just bring back anyways. It's great!

Finality counters state that the creatures must die to be exiled, so my deck teck is a bunch of etb angels and mass flicker.

Cool video and a pretty good start. Lot of cards in there that could be replaced though because you are using some really expensive cards.

what about solemnity? It blocks the finalty counters on our creatures so we can endlessly reanimate them

Is a command tower necessary in a 2 color deck..? You could use another dual land instead...get whatever benefits it has to offer...

4:27 no they are not, you cant follow up with a tapped rock and sometimes this matter, but do your thing man

How do you feel about the speed of the deck? The angels all look awesome, but I'm wondering if a 5cmc commander and lots of medium-to-high CMC angels if this deck might feel a bit slow. Really love the flavor of the card and the art is so cool.

This is not a fast deck at all. Probably turn 8 or 10.

@@commanderbydaenen Thanks, that's what I was thinking, but you're deck building is WAY better than me! My pod doesn't play super high power, but some of the decks are fairly aggressive and snowball if left alone for awhile. I might try throwing in some lower cost vampires and a hint of aristocrats to see if I can make it keep busy early -- though maybe that will water down the strategy too much.

love this approach. aristocrats would be so boring, and there are better commanders for the archetype already. Lots of them. Leaning into the angels is the way to go with mass reanimate and a sac outlet in the command zone, which is sick.

No it’s not. You want 10-12 pieces of removal/counters minimum in any good deck. 2 board wipes on average which leaves the other 8-10 being spot removal. That’s usually 5 creature/planeswalker removal spells, 2 artifact removal spells and 2 enchantment removal spells. If you have counter spells then you’ve usually got 3-5 counter spells mixed in there. So 8-10 spot removal is average not wild at all. If you’re running less then 8 cards for removal then your deck has horrible interaction and you need to fix that.
