Genuinely I consider tango to be one of the top builders on the server, you can't build the deep frost citadel and then say your not a builder, this man is one of the best builders on the server, as well as one of the best redstoners

I had a thought on your pun dispenser. Instead of dropping a book that you will have to replace eventually, you could make custom discs of you saying the puns and randomly run them through a music box. That way you have an infinite cycle as well as a way to time the punch lines.

@@BadgeBadge314 Well specifically, the raised area of deck at the front of a ship (where Tango is standing) is called the “fo’c’s’le” (Which is just the most over apostrophed word to ever exist.) It’s short for “forecastle” but over time 30% of the letters disappeared in the pronunciation, so now it sounds like “foke-sul” which makes it seem like it’s a type of sail. Lots of added confusion when you hear people talk about boats. Overall I think it’d be less confusing if it *was* called “the sticky outey bit” XD

airship feedback: the discoloration of a ship is usually caused by water, but an air ship wouldn't have the discoloration on the bottom. It would experience discoloration in the front from friction, or the water of the clouds it cut through If, however, the story you want to tell is that they took a sea ship and equipped it to fly, well. Double down on that. A Rudder. Barnacles. Even a nearby lake with the water not yet fully displaced from it's emerging if you want to do some terraforming. Also. If armor stands are being whipped out, or if you're in need of villagers. How about a crew?

Yeah, Treasure Planet is amazing, glad it got mentioned here. Though I'd say, it doesn't personally remind me of Treasure Planet. They have more ordinary old timey caravels that just happen to be transformed into the steampunk style with solar sails and jet engines, meanwhile what Tango built is a more ordinary, but still amazing Steampunk zeppelin.

Port is where a ship stops, starboard is what pirates called the night sky, stern is when someone is strict, the bow is the part of the ship that shoots arrows, and aft is like a raft but not quite. Hope this helps!

Should add a pun return get the hermits to sign a pun they were the first to see and have a prize for whoever captures the most puns. If you recycle signed puns you can give a prize for the hermit who's books have been seen the most too. And allow hermits to submit their own puns anonymously as unsigned books. I could see some hermits being able to come up with many puns since they're very punny. You could also add a "Tell Tango Puns are Running Low" noteblock alarm when a pun is dispensed and the chest is empty.

I think you guys in the nether hole gang could benefit from a system of lodestones and compasses for your holes, so you can always home in on whoever you're visiting. As for the airship, I think you should shift that submerged gear down two blocks or so in order to put an axle on it that runs through the captain's cabin. Right now as far as I can tell the gear is just floating there, and it looks like the centre of the gear is in line with the surface of the deck, which would make placing an axle tricky, since that surface seems to be one block deep and couldn't believably contain an axle that would support the huge gear. A one block diameter axle of blackstone or something running through the top of the captain's cabin wouldn't take much room, would give that gear some support, and would be more exposed machinery for the steampunk feel.

I would say that Tango has one of the best Steampunk styles out of any Minecraft builder. He constantly keeps proving that on top of an absolute crackhead technical player, he's also a phenomenal builder who can consistently deliver some of the zaniest *AND* some of the coolest creations in existence, starting from the looney hilarity of Toon Towers, ending with the glorious and imposing malice of the Deepfrost Citadel... And also awesome gears. Also, *12:40* The word you're most likely looking for is... It's a boiler. I really hope as part of the interior, you add an engine room and other industrial areas too, y'know, the things that make the airship actually function. I'm not sure if the boiler would be sitting on the main deck of what's essentially a giant blimp. It'd probably be in the lowest part of the main hull.

A couple of mnemonics for you: Bow to the people in Front of you The Fore is Before (in front of) you Your Aft (Ass/Rear) is hanging out People are Stern for things in your past (behind you) Port is shorter than Starborad, Left is shorter than Right and I think it's cool that starboard comes from steer board, most people steer a boat with their dominant (right) hand so the steering board (rudder) would be on the right side of them and so the boat/ship

That lowest area of the ship (that you mentioned possibly walling off) could be the crew's quarters! After all, the ship is too big for just the captain to run on his own!

The shroomlights as fuel could be some kind of hydrogen block, as airships/blimps use lighter-than-air gases to stay buoyant, and the 'boiler' on the main deck connects directly to the balloon. This also works for the thrusters, because hydrogen is highly flammable, and is a common part in rocket fuels. If you said that the shroomlights were a block of frozen hydrogen, then the boiler could be melting it into the balloon, and the fading out in the fuel tank could be from hydrogen sublimating off of the frozen hydrogen at the bottom. I any case, great build! I love the steampunk aesthetic you're running with, reminds me of season 6 and toon towers lol

Pro tip cause boat parts suck to memorize- port is left cause it has the same number of letters. starboard is right cause it has two r’s. Stern is the back cause when someone is being stern with you you want to turn your back. Bow is the front cause when you bow to someone you put you body out in front of you. suggestions to decorate the (unfortunately named) poop deck near the ship's wheel: a telegraph (the thingie with levers that tells the engine room how to set the engine speed (don't know if you can go in reverse on an airship), a compass on a binnacle (compass pedestal), a charthouse with a cool map table, maybe a wind sock or anemometer for monitoring wind speed and direction. The ship's bell would also be set here. And does the ship have an anchor? If so the capstan (a horizontal wheel thingie to raise and lower the anchor) would be located just in front of the boiler.

I love the ship. My only change would be the flag. I'd make the flag more Tango-ey, some red some white, maybe the occasional explodification of something. Flags should represent the origin or home, so unless those are your bases flying colors I'd go red and white.

I love the ship, looks amazing. perhaps the lore for how the shroomlights function in the engine is that the spores they release react with steam and produce a lighter than air gas. It works nicely with the tech available to steampunk. also I can't stop seeing the planet express ship now

Lifeboats/ lifeboat davits can help fill space. Stores cranes too. The wheel is a helm! Love the ship if you add anything it could be steerage. Either a rudder on the stern or flaps on the port & starboard side.

Since the zeppelin part looks like the planet express ship, you should have a robot captain named Bender. Get Cleo to make you an armor stand one in the captain's quarters once you have the interior done.

You know, for the ship's steering wheel you could probably go with the Cleo classic of pickaxes armor-standed heads out to form a circle. She generally uses them for spoked wheels like with wheelchairs and bicycles, but it'd probably work for a steering wheel if you used wooden ones. 🤷‍♀️

Suggestion, look into the French Pre Dreadnoughts. They're widely considered some of the most terrible looking (and performing) warships ever. But they had a bit of a "steampunk" vibe due to the random stuff they just stuck to the hulls and superstructure. Lot's of little details no one else ever used. And plenty of them since no two ships in the fleet were even in the same class.

Tango here is the terminology you are looking for: The front of a ship is the bow Rear of a ship is stern Left is called port Right is starboard

I thank some nice flavour to the ship would be to have the helm (steering wheel area), engine room, and crews quarters be really cluttered compared to the rest of the ship if it's for rich passengers. The captain and his crew would have very different priorities when packing for a trip like this so while the rich passengers would be much cleaner, any area where the passengers don't know would be where the crew store all their stuff. You could do like barrels or ropes or stuff that the working crew or the captain would need on hand. I'm absolutely loving the build though, the shading with the cyans looks so good and the ship itself is awesome!

The airship looks amazing! In regards of how to use the empty space ... Well, a ship needs a clear deck for crew to move around, so you could fill it with things a crew needs: Ropes, buckets, tether posts, barrels, a crate with a compass, map, and spyglass set down, watering hole, etc. Maybe come up with some way the crew has to move the strange fuel around that uses equally mysterious contraptions.

I think the area of the ship you’re on is the fo’c’s’le? (Abbreviation for fore castle, used to refer to the raised area of deck on the front of the ship.) You could also just say “fore” referring to the front of the ship in general, and the spar of wood sticking out on the front is the bow.

From just looking at the build you would think it was a Pearl build (compliment).. You sir have upped your building game! Pearl should watch out... soon people may think the solar punk base is a Tango inspired build

I love how unapologetictly good Tango is as a builder. I think he's even one of the bests one in this server, hence decked out last season and now this steampunk vibe he's heading this season. Love it! And I would leave the darker blocks on the ship, working as a shadow instead of degradation from water... The differency in pallete makes it easier and smoothier on the eye. Keep it up!

It's Bow. The Bow of the ship is foreward, or Fore of the ship. The raised bit at the fore is the Forecastle. The Stern is aft, or to the rear of the ship. And the wheel would be refered to as the helm, you scuvey land-lubber... Also, the deck needs gear. Row boats, chests, barrels of food and water, extra cloth, hooks and oars and cannons oh my!

The balloon is very well done on the ship. It's wide enough you could probably drop things from it on folks bellow, like sand bags. You have plenty of space in the ship proper for more farms and even some 'passengers' if you need bulk terracota or a complete collection of enchantments.

Good News Everyone, Tango built us a new Planet Express for deliveries!

The airship is EPIC! You could use some of it's space to make pipes and gearshafts to transmit the fuel to the engine as well as power to the propeller and smoke to the exhausts. As it is, all the parts seem a bit disconnected. My mind was kinda filling the pipes in when you toured us through the build, so inspiring!

Great build! But the boat needs some hermit pirates doing some shenanigans! Maybe a Scar or Bdubs walking a plank or chilling on the “poop deck” 😂

Love the build! @ 16:08 - an idea to have the items fall into storage, while also tying the airship into the base even more, could be to have the airship anchored to the base in some way, with a item waterway inside it. It would make it a bit more work since the drop into the storage would no longer be straight, but would also integrate it more naturally to the base than a completely vertical column for the items.
