There wasn't really another way this video could conclude, in my mind. I remember being introduced to HermitCraft bc of Grian and his first episode of Season 6 with having watched his building videos prior, Bdubs would introduce himself and Keralis in the latter half of the season. So Bdubs wasn't on as long that season but there was definitely a different level of building going on with the little time there was left to that season; and he's the main reason I found out that gradients and texturing exist in minecraft then as there is now. He just keeps evolving his skill in his own way with the help of references and techniques that are either passed around the building community or a simple Google search. Ultimately it is his impact that stands out, that personality of his is very unique but something that I wish I could see more of in content creators today who merely try to copy others instead of being themselves, and to compare his art form and personality to that of the late Bob Ross is no understatement. AND HE BUILDS THE BACKS OF BUILDINGS UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE COWARDS THAT HIDE IT IN A MOUNTAIN! (jk G).

How his building styles makes me want to make the stories i make for dnd into something real. Something that isnt just words, but a painting someone can walk through. But i cant do it. I try and i give up, but every time i see his videos it just makes me want to try again. To see him make his own dnd world and have his friends walk through it, experience it in ways only he could make. I just love his builds so much and youre right, theres something about his relentless desire that makes someone like me. Someone who gives up, someone who views things as hopeless and feel this pressing weight of tiredness and depression. Actually want to continue. The inspiration to keep going, not just at this game of blocks, but in my writing. In my life. To see things in color, to experience the humanity of life. this is an amazing video, I almost started crying at the end when you started listing loads of creators and people who we may see as our personal greats, because its so true, we all have different people who inspire us and make us laugh an we will always come back to, be them content creators or not. this is such a well put together essay, and absolutely nails everything the hermitcraft community loves about bdubs. personally I have so many mc creators who I like and watch consistently, I would find it hard to even call one my greatest. and I think that's a testament to how varied in skill and personality and community each individual player is, that even a creator who does something in mc I never do, like a PvPer or a redstoner, can be one of my favourites.

If buying merch from any content creator is a form of statistic, then Bdubs is my favourite Minecraft player of All Time, though he's the only content creator I've ever bought merch from, which in itself is quite telling. BdoubleO100 is in my so humble opinion, the greatest of them all (closely followed by EthosLab). His legacy of the Paw Patrol videos extend far beyond just great art, but on a more human and emotional level, they're fantastic. After a devastating family tragedy, Bdubs pulls himself out of the gutter and delievers a masterpiece.

i do not have a specific greatest player, instead this community is my greatest player. the collection of efforts and collaboration within occasionally conflicting playstyles is so inspiring to me, seeing the redstone community being cared for and caring for the rest of the community within the latest snapshots is one such example. despite our differences, despite our fighting we still care, respect and inspire each other to push this community to greater and greater heights

For me there are a couple candidates. Minemanner: One of the, if not the greatest pvper of all time, great at movement, and was part of Grian's old build team, becoming very good at the creative side of the game. One area he might be lacking in is the technical side of the game. Etho: Pretty much the exact opposite of Minemanner, pioneer in redstone, amazing builder, and with his recent mcci training arc, he has gotten some decent pvp and moevement. He is also an expert at a lot of niche areas of the game like noteblocks.
@FrostbyteFreeman2 ай бұрын
Really good choices here- definitely agree that Etho's note block arrangement skills are severely underrated. The 1812 Overture he did last season with Zed and the Frogger theme from this season both had me grinning like an absolute idiot the whole way through.
