Great tutorial, thank you! Also, I test it and if you only drag the Body after pasting the metahuman items, it will keep all the parenting structure :)

can i do the same to a character from mixmo or just from metahuman ?

I have an issue when I try to add more than one Metahuman to my project. Something about the body, sorry I can't remember the error. But it basically is fatal and totally bombs the project. Also, once I have added a Metahuman, I have no way of deleting them. Any ideas or advice? RTX 4090 OC i9-11900K 64GB DDR4 RAM 2TB 980 Pro SSD

You are seriously a life saver! I was so down on my luck and about to try and transfer over ALLLLLL the logic manually from my other player into the Metahuman. I have encountered some wonkiness though and that's because it's retargeting to the UE4 Manniquin mesh. Do you know how to retarget it so that it rescales with the UE4 mannequin??? Thanks.

Metahuman's are cool but I'll skip it for now and come back when I'm ready, because they seem like a lot, and I don't think I'm quite ready for it.. Are there any particular parts in the rest of the series that I'll run into issues with by not using them?

You'll have to ensure whatever character you use as your adversary also either: A.) uses the same AnimBP as your ThirdPersonCharacter or B.) Uses Runtime retargeting of the AnimBP back to your ThirdPersonCharacter. Ideally you set up your AI adversary character to be a child class of ThirdPersonCharacter in order to follow along with the series.

Hello great video as always! I'm following along the tutorial, but there is an error with the elbows, they are sticking in a wrong position in the retargeted metahuman, have you encountered something like this previously? Thanks in advance!

Apologies Hugo, I haven't run into this issue. Are you doing runtime retargeting? Or did you retarget via another method?

Be great if you could do few tutorials on swapping out body parts and armour with clothes. Unreal just released video showing new system and workflow where they use two skeletons together. Any plans on showing that?

Form first. Then aesthetics after. Frosting comes after baking the cake.
