My friends, USMC tanks from the Pacific Theatre are some of the wildest looking vehicles of WW2. Countless variants of improvised add-on armor and other kinds of protection against the enemy coupled with colorful camouflages and deep wading stacks are the perfect combination for an interesting model!

Disclaimer: I have a good relationship with a handful of modelling brands and stores, namely VMS, Michigan Toy Soldier Company, and AK-Interactive. As such, I'm happy to use their products/services, and show them in my work. In return, they support my efforts in this hobby, although my hands are not bound nor am I obligated to push one brand or the other. This was one of the founding ideas of the channel and I will always stand by this.

Hey Nightshift, have you done or would ever do a video on how you hide your crimes? By that I mean as a fellow modeller, we have all had things go wrong. Like on my latest project a RFM M4 Sherman with full interior. One of the parts of one HVSS broke post construction. I had no resort but to perform a little bit of surgery to fix it. And glue in place a previously movable part of the running gear. Fortunately it all worked out. I plan to use some VMS smart mud to hide the rest of the damaged part that is visible.

Oddly enough I was just watching Greatest Tank Battles and it was the episode on The Pacific. I am looking into getting some photo etch for the cockpit of my ICM 1/48 Heinkel bomber but I am going to get an armor model but not sure what yet. I have a few possibilities. Id like to get away from German tanks this time and maybe try a Soviet or British tank.

I have recently gotten into model making I have made a few gundam model kits, and I just finished my first tank, I used enamel paint for everything because that is what my dad used when he painted models. I have quite a few enamel paints, but do you think i should switch to acrylic paint because it's not nearly as toxic. Or do you think it's fine as long as I am wearing a mask. Also what paint is better for painting model kits, and what paint is better for painting terrain, or are they about the same as long as you get the consistency right?

One thing that Nightshift gets wrong is his welds. Many times it's stated that weld stays bright and not rusty. This is 100% incorrect. Welds and the material around them known as the heat affected zone rust far more quickly than the base metal. The only reason some welds are bright is because they are raised in areas where they might get regularly stepped upon.
