I don't like to share too much personal information. I will share that I love your work. My husband got me into wood burning. I love arts & crafts. He knew I'd enjoy wood burning & he was right. I like that you want to keep your channel light, I'm all for it. I love to read books.

Yes! Wood burning is an amazing art form that is incredibly enjoyable. I love it too. I love books, but I mostly listen to them. Once and while I read a real paper book, but mostly audio. What types of books do you enjoy? I like an array of subjects. Biographies, mysteries, business, romance, self-help.

I absolutely love your videos. I just started wood burning in January of this year. I love the challenge of taking a piece of wood and creating a piece of art. I have always loved crafting and have a crochet business. I decided I wanted to expand into different types of art. I have also dabbled in oil painting. I have learned so much from watching your videos. You and your daughter are so talented.

I am just watching this. I am retired and have very limited money. I have been doing a lot of drawing since I retired. I wish I were a real artist like you and so many on here but I am just a wannabe. But I do enjoy it. I have been wanting to try something else because my laptop crashed and took away my favorite graphics apps. I saw your videos and started watching how talented and fun you are to watch. So I bought my first burner and have been trying it. I hope to make some extra money so I can get a new laptop. I do love it but living in an RV I have to be careful with the smoke. I don’t want to smoke out my dog. No man around. I have a fume thing coming tomorrow so I hope it will help with it. As a writer I could write all day but will stop. Just keep the videos coming. I, for one, love them.

I loved you sharing your story and the direction you’re headed. I’m 69 and fairly new to pyrography. I struggle with my vision so I’m probably not as clean as I would love to be. But…I came across you and CC Creations and bought a versatile. Recently I upgraded. At this point I’m just making stuff for my kids and gifts for friends. I’ve always been artsy fartsy. Scrapbook in, stamping, sewing, painting, mixed media. My husband and I moved from Illinois to S Texas. We lived in a small 32” travel trailer and as you can imagine, it was not very conducive to crafting. All my stuff was in totes, boxes and crammed into every nook and cranny which there wasn’t much. So I did some wreaths and tried my hand at pour painting. Lol…that’s not for me. Anyway Dec of last year, a friend of mine gifted us a 2 bedroom, two bath mobile. It came with a screened in front and small back porch PLUS a Texas room which I converted to my craft room! Plus a workshop for my husband. We love having people around so we enjoy all the extra room. One of my sons and daughter moved down here from Illinois so the grandkids have a place to be creative. I love mixed media and I’m really enjoying the wood burning. I love all your videos and I’m really forward to sharing more.❤️❤️❤️

Hey Tina! Thanks for sharing your story. You're just like me! So many types of crafts. It must have been tough to live out of all the totes. And now you have your own craft room; that's amazing! Congrats on getting the extra space for you, the hubby and the kiddos. What an awesome friend! Thanks for watching the videos and I can't wait to hear more!

I've always been a creative. When I was a kid, I used to win awards, ribbons, & contests for my art. But I moved to live with a different parent when I started high school & I was never encouraged to continue to do art. So, it kinda fell by the wayside. That's a bummer when I think about that. Over the years, my younger sister & her husband's family would have me create random stuff like decorating birthday parties or something decorative. In 2016, right after becoming physically disabled I started working with polymer clay. It quickly became my passion. It's all I thought about, dreamt about, it was everything. But after a few months, my condition spread to my hands. I created when I could, but those times started becoming further & far between. I ended up becoming obsessed with making gingerbread man ornaments & even sold some. I tried all the tools, machinery, anything to help me work with the clay. Eventually, I got myself out of denial & donated my hundreds of packs of clay & everything I used with it. Huge pill to swallow. Since then, I have luckily found many creative avenues that aren't too hard on my hands: art journaling, diamond painting, hand embroidery, cross stitch, weaving, crochet, drawing (traditional), & now pyrography! Some things I can only do so long on good days, but I'm happy I at least still have options! I've done only a very little of pyrography so far, but I think as I improve, I'm really gonna love it!

Wow! That's such a powerful story. Thank you for sharing. I can't imagine how hard it was to give away your clay making passion, but I'm glad you got back into creating. There is something so therapeutic about making and creating. Art journaling is so interesting to me. I watch videos on IG sometimes and it's satisfying to watch people draw and journal. The creativity and organization is so amazing.

You do a beautiful job at wood burning! You will find the right path, for your future with licensing! You are the reason I've seriously considered a different burner, after learning how to do basic beginner burning. I've only been watching you for a few months. I have a beginner/different burner. I can adjust the temperature, but it's a basic temp control. What kind of fan, or smoke thing do you recommend? I don't need the fanciest, one that does the job well, is good enough for me. I can't spend a lot, I have spine problems.

Hey Martha! If you need a simple fan solution, try a small desk fan. I got mine on amazon for around $10. You can probably find one at dollar general/walmart too. They aren't too expensive. Just keep it near your burning area and it will pull the smoke away from you. Congrats on getting started burning! I hope you're enjoying it. It's a wonderful hobby. Thanks for watching the videos. I'm so glad to know they are helpful.

Aney where have you been? My husband was in the military Navy. He was stationed in New Orleans Louisiana, where I am from. My husband and I are married for 35 yrs. I got into pyrography about 5 yrs ago. My name for my business is CC Creations ( for Connie Coffee Creations). I am starting over on pyrography bc I feeling my work needs more detail that's when I found you. So Ty.

Hi Aney! It was so nice to hear you share a little about yourself. Thanks for sharing! My dad bought me a craft wood burner when I was a kid that I played around with a bit. When my son was a kid, I bought him one as well. I just recently pulled it out again to give it another try, and decided I should probably watch a few KZbin videos on wood burning to get some instruction, which is how I came across you. There are a lot of talented pyrographers out there, including yourself, but you are definitely my favorite to watch. I've been absolutely devouring your videos! I'm surprised at how satisfying it is to just watch. I've always been an artsy crafty person. I've done a little bit of drawing, I do crochet, jewelry making, baking and pastry arts with a specialty in chocolatiering, a tiny bit of sewing. I've just recently bought a Dremel, and plan to get a pro burner (leaning towards Optima) and can't wait to see what kind of trouble I can get into with some wood! :D Anyways, thanks again for sharing, and opening the floor for us watchers to share. Looking forward to more!

Hey Aria! Thanks for watching! I'm happy to share my story. And I'm happy to hear your's too. I love that you started with your sons burner. So many of us get started by seeing a burner and just testing the waters a bit; then get hooked on it. It's an addictive hobby. Chocolatiering!! I bet that is a blast! I'm envious of artists that crochet too. I tried it once and I was so hard!! It sounds like you have multiple talents and lots of interests. The Dremel is tons of fun. I did a dremel/resin project about a year ago and I was pleasantly surprised. Let me know how it goes!!

@@Pyrocrafters Oh wow. I am really terrible with the socials. This was 2 months ago. Sheesh! Sorry bout that. Yes, I love working with chocolate, but it's very tricky to get right. I love a good challenge, though. The good news is that even when it all goes horribly wrong, it's still delicious! I saw your video using the Dremel! It was very inspiring. I love that table. I've tried the Dremel now a few times and love it, but it is for sure something that will take a lot of practice to be able to produce something worth giving away, let alone selling.

Great video! KZbin is always recommending your channel to me under “your viewers also watch” lol. I’m always so impressed with how consistent you are with making videos and how much work you put out! It was interesting to get to know you and your story about how you got into wood burning. I started burning because I saw someone selling Pyrography at a farmers market when I was about 13 or 14 (2008ish) and thought it was so cool! so I bought a used burning tool at a yard sale a little while after that. I did some burning with that tool but it was terrible 😆 something, probably a dog or cat, had chewed partway through the cord. So I “upgraded” to a $20 Walmart one pretty much immediately. Eventually, when I realized I was probably going to keep burning, I got my Razertip (in about 2014), and I’ve just been burning and posting my work online ever since :) I still find it difficult sometimes to monetize my art, probably just cause I’m pretty slow at doing it 😆 but it’s awesome that you’ve been able to do so much commission work! I’d be really interested in how you are licensing your art and how that goes for you :)

Thank you so much for watching my content. I do put a lot of thought and time into creating new videos that I want to be helpful and enjoyable to watch. I never know if that comes across well. It means so much to know that you enjoy them. A yard sale burner, that's awesome! It was meant to be. You've been burning for a long time! I can tell from your pieces too. They are so detailed and beautifully painted. Razertip is a wonderful brand; I've started using my P80 more and more lately. I hope to get their new tips with the ceramic bits on the wire tips. It's supposed to help control the heat more. It is difficult to monetize art. There's such a saturation of options and wood burning (particularly realistic pieces) take hours and hours. It's hard to sell them at a price that makes the time worth it. I'm still working on getting the licensing together. I've been pitching my portfolio, but so far I've gotten a lot of no's and a few maybe's. I will keep going until I get a yes. And I will announce it somewhere, here or instagram. I'm really enjoying the new art I'm making, so I'm going to keep at it until I find the fit somewhere. Thanks for letting me hear your story!

@@Pyrocrafters Thanks for your response! I agree, I love my Razertip, so I’ll have to look into those new bits. And I definitely know what you mean about art sales being over saturated with options! There are so many talented people selling their art online it can be hard to find buyers. I hope your licensing works out :) I’m sure if you keep sending it out you’ll get a yes eventually.
