Let's Chill - EarthBound - Episode 17 - Calm Relaxing Let's Play

Welcome back to Episode 17 of the Let's Chill - EarthBound series. We finally meet the fourth member of the party, Poo, Prince of Dalaam, as he undergoes his final training before leaving to meet up with Ness, Paula, and Jeff. The group then visits some museums, takes in a concert, and follows up on an "extraordinary" rumor.
This episode made me think about just how easy it is for the automatic flood of thoughts to take over nearly every aspect of our daily life. One of the main goals of mindfulness practice is to be able to recognize when this is happening in the day so you can interrupt it and get back to "really" living again. It's not easy, and you won't always be able to do it, but it's important to try. Going through one's entire life on autopilot is all too easy, too common, and unfortunate.
One of the best gifts you can give yourself is to recognize that "you" are not your thoughts. You are the observer, a witness to them, and they have no direct control over you. It's a small but profoundly powerful distinction to make.

Sure thing. It's a very nostalgic title for me, but it was such a unique experience and really fun to work through back in the day, so it's long been one of my favorites. Glad to hear you're enjoying it, too.
