Thanks for teaching us your new method for attaching pieces without copper tape and using the green foam to hold hard to join pieces together. What a game changer. Your pieces turned out beautifully.

Lots of hearts for you!😊💜💜💜💜💜 I love this so much! Can't wait to try it! I don't have any pretty gems or chains of crystals, but I will try it one day I'm sure. I loved the use of the tiny rhinestones on the porcelain too. Great save using your copper tape on the metal alloy parts that the solder wouldn't stick to, by the way. I have been trying to work with copper wire techniques to form other elements to my pieces and now that I have my different hammers and a bench block, I have a lot of techniques to learn. I can see how this floral foam will be helpful in many ways. Love the technique for sure. I'm itching to get back to creating! So appreciate your video. It was so fun to watch. I was excited right along with you! As always, you brought a lot of sunshine and inspiration to my day. Hope you are having a fantastic day as well. Good vibes and hugs coming your way from me! ✨🙏✨💖

@@eugeniaedits Awe, thank you.🥰 I could always use some hugs! You're so fun and creative, and I just love your vibes, Eugenia. Love watching you rock your own creative areas, and sharing what you do, and what you've learned. I finally got my wide copper tape(3" wide), so after watching your video, I got inspired to play, and covered some 6" long cardboard dragons I had cut out for decor,...with the copper tape. I covered both sides, and used my old rosin core solder to lay a decent first layer on both sides. It's messy, and I'll have to clean the rosin mess off before I continue, but I'm so happy it worked! 😁✨💃✨ Lol! Definitely strong enough to hold up as decorations. After I get them cleaned up, I'll have to go about trying to give them some life with textures and patina. Thanks for all the inspiration, sweetie,... It keeps me going in my creative adventures too.✨🙏✨💜🥰

Awesome!!!! Thanks so much for this. "The torture is over for jump rings!" Lol I have a tip if the copper tape is not sticking to porcelain or China I coated the edge in clear nail Polish, let it dry and it sticks easily.

Oh wow!!! That is fantastic!!! I will def try!!!!!! Hahaha the torture with those jump rings - we all now know why they called them "jump" rings for sure lol. Hopefully foam will help to stay them put! lol❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for the video. 🌺🌺🌺 Could you please explain how to define the temperature ? I have noticed that the temperature shouldn't be the same while covering the copper tape with solder and while attaching two already covered stones together 😊🌸🙏🏻
@eugeniaedits10 ай бұрын
Hi! So happy you liked the video! I am usually at around 800 f, but if I need to set a jump ring I might come down to 750 so it's not too drippy. I think sometimes this depends on the room temperature you are in and also the type of iron and solder you use. To be honest I am almost always at 800. And the only time I adjust it to lower setting if I were to do textures. :)

In your video on attaching pieces to a ring base, and after that was done, you said something about sanding the piece to get rid of rough edges. Can you tell me or show the technique you use for this? I just love watching your videos and am trying my hand at soldering. I am a long time crafter starting out with crocheting to the point of perfection. I have also been doing beaded jewelry and the husband has been selling it as soon as I am done with it. Looking forward with doing more on the soldering side of things. Thank you.

Thank you for watching my channel! :) I will make a video on sanding down rough texture. I use filing set to do it and also fine 1200 and up grid sand paper. It can leave the piece matte so that's something to keep in mind. But, if you light sand down just sharp point and not the whole thing - you should be fine :). Also, before sanding, I tape my crystals/porcelain w paper tape to protect them accidentally scratching w sand paper or filing tool. I hope this helps! but I will add this to my idea list for one of my videos :)❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What solder tip do you use? I ordered the iron that you recommended and it came with several tips. Also would you post a link for the crystal chain. Thank you for your great tutorials.
@eugeniaedits10 ай бұрын
Hi!! :) I use the smallest thinnest tip post of the time - it's perfect for intricate applications. I will add a link to a chain in the description but here it is :) amzn.to/3T0YDBE

Hello! I hope you can help me.. Where can I buy those gems? I bought a lot of gems but they don't solder. Do you have an email to send you pictures of my gems?
@eugeniaedits8 ай бұрын
hi there, I buy them in downtown LA. I will try to get some and create a listing on Etsy. But I buy them as a part of a decorative trim.
@naomimara33406 күн бұрын
Yes! Why do the sellers not write what metal the gems are "in"? How do we know which ones to order? It's so frustrating spending money and not knowing will it work or not. Please, if anyone knows source we can buy solderable gems..or at least which metals are ok, which are not. Thanks.
