Sega put some pretty insanely short development schedules on their SG-1000 games because they had only a tiny team to program for all the games they were trying to publish. Hideki Sato has mentioned that they had no idea what they were doing when they entered the console market.

Oh my. When I was very young, I'd go to a local curling club here my hometown while my dad played curling. Before I was even into video games (i.e. before Super Mario Bros. came to my attention), I'd go into the small room in the club that had two arcade machines. One was Pac-Man, and the other game was an isometric game I never could actually find the name of, many years later. Until now! This is it! Thanks a ton for this and all your videos!

it plays well better than some off the other ports, even if Atari really couldn’t handle the graphics there’s more than a few ports where the graphics are better than the 2600 but the frame rate & game play is worse despite the graphics sometimes looking like a bad retinal explosion, Atari's gameplay usually made up for it on the 2600 by begin faster & more precise its as good as you'd expect from a isometric 3d 1982 arcade port this & games like zaxxon were graphically beyond Atari hardware
