i know. Tried to acquire the footage.. but couldn't. I was going to add the Saturn & Windows version as well but couldn't get the Saturn to work. Upon further research I discovered that the games were identical. That's why it was noted. There was also a version for the NEC PC88 .. but it was so poor it made the Speccy's version look like an arcade port. I believe it was a home brew.
@Arkannen11 жыл бұрын
PCE is my favorite version, great music and better colors (the white-ish tint of the arcade just weirds me out). NES has its advantages though, most strikingly no slowdown at all. But why the hell is it even MORE difficult than the original?
@GamingHistorySource12 жыл бұрын
I noticed that as well. For some reason it sounded loud enough when I was putting the video together. & it even sounded ok before uploading it. Not sure what happened but I didn't change anything. strange...
@thejackal00712 жыл бұрын
In the arcade version after you died, it seemed like there were a lot of power-ups to get. I don't remember the NES version being that generous after a death. The C64 version looks punishing, too. The Playstation version looks more like a port of the Sharp version, which has its key a bit different than the arcade and NES. PC Engine seemed to have the best music of all of them.
@themega100469 жыл бұрын
turbografx and nes are the best port's Turbografx for the new level and it being pretty close to the arcade and nes version also being really close to the arcade and has little to no slowdown.

I used winDS PRO for Bubble Bobble. When looking into this video I missed the DS version. I don't typically add the really new systems unless there is something they offer that is drastically different in some way but stays within the confides of the game in it's original format. I'll look into the one You spoke of & may update the video. But that's still iffy ;) thanks for the info.
@wingnut442712 жыл бұрын
Strange. I checked 6 versions with both names & for some reason the music was absent & they all looked identical. Might have been an unofficial release or maybe the roms I was using weren't good. Wish I could have gotten a copy with music. :(

Thanks for posting this. The MSX version was the best of the 8 bit versions. The ZX Spectrum version did its best, and they got quite far with it considering the limitations of the system.

Some times I do. Nintendo, Atari 2600 & 5200. I had to get a new TV capture card not long ago & ran into some difficulties. with the old one I could connect the system to the PC & catch the footage on screen. The New one I can't so most everything You see is emulated. Again I know that most purists out there scoff at emulation but I find that most do an excellent job reflecting the original hardware's capabilities.
@Saxonation12 жыл бұрын
Haha that's about what I figured. I share your pain. It's generally some keyboard key, but what key that is varies. Any time I play a C64 game the first five minutes are always "slam the keys to find out which ones do something"

Visual Boy Advance 1.8.0.600 I think is the best emulator in the VBA series of GB emulators it allows you to play the native green in the options as well as that puswedo version you are using in your vids. Looks more authentic compared to older editions of the emulator which have that green you are using.

I hate when people keep shooting when they don't need to, when there's either nothing for them to shoot at. The sound is either really annoying, or drowns out/cancels all other sound channels.
